I think sky wants clubs that bring viewers. Be it in Leigh or London I doubt they care. Without a picture of viewing figures per Sl game (which we dont have) its impossible to know what clubs bring the most and least viewers to SL. What i do know is cutting 3 British clubs from SL isnt going to increase Skys SL audience.
That's a fair argument, though where that money comes from and if it $'s translates to audience is debatable. I think the quality of the top 6-8 in Sl is pretty good and games are entertaining. In fact without the constant 6 agains I'm watching more SL games than NRL games these days now they are all on Kayo.

Im showing which clubs drew the biggest audiences in 2019. We dont have much data to go off, this is an example. You can red the data how you see fit. What it shows me is that even the so called small town teams can draw some of the biggest audiences.

Why do they need the NRL to do that?
The SL needs an independent board to make decisions for the benefit of the game. Currently the clubs run the competition they act out of self interest and are running the sport into the ground, just as AFL and NRL clubs were before the Independent Commissions.
