Don’t Catalans already get zero central funding?
No but they have to pay teams travel and accomodation costs. From memory it was around 750k euros (implemented last year)

The next step may be to take it away

Going to 14 teams will be good

It will be two out of Bradford London and toulose

Ideally you’d have 2 French teams in super league and maybe even another French team in the championship.

even better would be a French RL academy team entered into the English u17&u19 academy competitions.
There was another two French clubs applying for the champ ?

And possibly York who continue to impress and grow

Avignon was another I think a whilst back.
Not quite sure about that unless it was back in early 2010’s.

ideally you’d use for opportunity of putting big French cities in the UK game like Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux or even Paris and leave the smaller town sides in elite1&2 competitions.

Bradford must be the favourite … maybe they can bring in a third team from Hull as well? Thats expansion ESL style right?
Bradford are a sleeping giant with a proud RL histroy as well as strong amateur and grassroots setup within the city and surrounding area.

also the city of Bradford proper has a population nearing 400k and 550k within the Bradford metropolitan region.
