YOU dont need to be a genius to work out where North Queensland coach Paul Green will attack the Brisbane Broncos in Sundays decider at ANZ Stadium.
It was there for all to see in Friday nights match against the Sydney Roosters at Suncorp Stadium.
Although they lost the game, the Roosters showed up some alarming defensive flaws of Broncos halves Ben Hunt and Anthony Milford.
Its there for all to see on the NRL stats website and it will surely be lead item on Greens tip sheet.
Hunt missed nine of his attempted 23 tackle attempts at a missed rate of 39 per cent. Milford missed five of his 10 tackle attempts for a missed rate of 50 per cent.
Rest assured Johnathan Thurston will sending his big men Jason Taumalolo, James Tamou and Matt Scott in their direction.
While they got away with it against the Roosters, the grand final will be a different story.
The Cowboys have scored 13 tries and 71 points in their last two finals on the back of their power forwards and the opportunities created by Thurston and Michael Morgan.
Overall season statistics show Milford and Hunt are not normally that bad in defence.
Were not suggesting they are speed bumps every game, every weekend.
Although I did check the first time these two clubs played earlier in the season and they missed nine tackles between them.
Against Manly earlier in the season Hunt missed seven out of 22 tackle attempts.
On Friday night the poor defence didnt cost the Broncos tries. It was Jack Read who missed Blake Ferguson twice on the Broncos left side. But it cost them field position.
Of course Broncos fans will argue their job as halves is to set up and score tries, which they have done so magnificently all year.
Still, in a grand final, you want to be 100% in all areas of your game.
There is nothing between these two teams and the decider is sure to go right down to the wire.
One or two missed tackles could mean the difference between holding up Norm and Arthur or finishing as 2015 runners-up.
