is it one season? i'd (being the Roosters FO) would only sign for a season with option for a second at the most. doubt that he would be on big money. With all the players they've let go in recent seasons, Roosters have cap room remaining for this season and are using it up. They'll be tight going forward when resigning off contract players and the like.

but for 2013:

Fullback (FB): Mini - as pro as they come with prep and recovery, will have another solid season;
Centres (C): SKD & Jennings - strike weapons on both fringes of the field;
Halves (H): Maloney & Pearce - options and the former now takes pressure off the latter having to do everything & Friend at DH has matured plenty since his wildboy days;
Inside Forwards (IF) - more options, strength & toughness. blokes such as JWH, Nuuuuuuuuausuala, et al rotating through here throughout a match will not result in a dip in intensity at all...........physically anyway.
Outside Forwards (OF) - threatening again and as fast as backs.

cannot spot a major weakness on any part of the ground.

if the players buy into Robinsons plan, and his man management skills are top notch, this squad will be serious contenders.

Jennings - Panthers are paying for half of his contract
LOD - Coming back from ESL at 32, cant demand too much

Lost Anasta, Perrett, Masoe, J. Carney, Leilua, T. Carney the year before who was never really replaced who had a back ended contract, Losing Cherrington so it would seem...
We should still have some coin left over after losing all those players considering the current roster of very young players as well

A bit optimistic.. Mini is by far the worst fullback in the NRL and SKD the worst defensive Centre.. Best case is top 4 but I still think a finish of around 6th or 7th more likely.

They have signed SBW, Maloney, Jennings, LOD. I don't think LOD would of come for anything short of 200k. Now thats not much for what he could offer.

Jennings isn't being paid half of anything from the Panthers, the deal was terminated on both sides. He signed a 2 mil deal for 4 years meaning Roosters pay him 500k a year. SBW would be double that.

I doubt they are cheating, though there is no way they have ANY money left. I have no doubt LOD is the reason Cherrington is going and Takarangi is gone. Those two would of been on 100k at max. Lose them both and LOD paid.
