Has everyone forgotten the massive liability in defence Dykes is???

Its deplorable and every team has figured out to target him. The Melbourne game they sniffed him out ALL night.

He's no more a liability than Noddy. In fact he makes more tackles, misses less and has a higher % hit rate.

Don't fall for myths perpetrated by millersnose and his cronies.

Some of you sh*t me to tears sometimes, if you don't like him thats fine.

He plays with passion and really puts in, busts his arse tackling all game, and is a pretty damn good example of a responsible professional player.

He maybe past his prime but the need to say I hate him and refer to him as nobby are way over the top.

Yes but, the poll is about the BK/AD combination. Do you think it actually works?

i find this interesting. the stats last night show that-
we made more metres than them 1522 to 1476.
we made them make more tackles than us 261 to 364. they should have been wrecked.
we had 20 offloads compared to their 10.
we won the errors but only by 2. 9 compared to 11.
i could go on but my point is if u looked at the stats u would think ours are the winning sides. why arnt we converting it into points. I had my doubts about all the halves bashing on here.......... but now i dont know.

sorry forgot the poll. i actually enjoyed watching the games when brett k was out injured. adam dykes seemed to rise to the occasion. i dont know about his poor defence, it wasnt evident when we were winning games. so , no, i dont think the combination works.

I think we are being f**ked over by holding down in the play the ball, we can't get any momentum which was what the game plan has been built around.

Fair enough but after seeing this week in and week out wouldn't you think either the playmakers or the coach would have the nous to adjust.

For example when Nobby is first receiver he persists in being only a metre behind the ruck. This is killing his kicking and his service to the extent that ALL he can do is the hackneyed old inside ball. Dykes stands deeper and we have more room and it shows.

It's not about blaming refs. It's about working around them.

The slow the play the balls, are coming from being dominated in the tackle, which comes from not hitting the line at pace, which comes from playing noddyball.

Welcome to the initiated jedman.
The criticism of the halfback didn't start when he came to the club.
It didn't for me anyway - I was rapt. Chris Anderson and Brett Kimmorely!
However, it started badly and has gone downhill.
The signing of Stuart raper has compounded the problem due to the fact he can't sack Kimmorely, nor has he the ability to transform or adapt his outdated game.

Like you many of us didn't realise the team would respond so incredibly when BK was out earlier this year.
Many of the posts queried could our great form continue when he returned.
You know the answer to that one, unfortunately.

Now you have seen the light you will watch him more closely and the frustration will be overwhelming.

Kimmorley is a liability too , they both missed 4 tackles and made around 18. Dykes has more to give in attack so he would be the likely choice to stay.

Don't forget it was Kimmorley that stupidly ran out of the line to gift Melbourne their second try.

Dykes to 7.

Thinking back to who the last decent tackling 5/8 we had (bar when ET occasionally played there) All I can come up with was Speechly.

geez hill is a great 5/8

Yeah, been going well since being given a PL wake up call.

Might be something useful in that particular type of management.

Craig Wilson meet Nobby Kimmorley.

We can only pray that, that will happen Frenz.

No balls supercoach won't resort to the proper thing to do.

If your going to play Noddyball, play it properly.
4 Props - Douglas, Stosic, Villasanti, Maiava/Harlen
One hooker, backing up all day - Kingston
3rd centre @ 6 - Vagana
Creative quick fullback who can pass, kick and hit holes - Kearney.
Two fast tall wingers. Simmons Albert
Big centres with an offload Covell Pommeroy
Three hard working backrowers - Thompson, Gallen, Williams
Impact off the bench- Bird, Dykes

Thus the optimum noddyball team is

1. Kearney
2. Simmons
3. Pommeroy
4. Covell
5. Albert
6. Vagana
7. Kimmorley (c)
8. Stosic
9. Kingston
10. Douglas
11. Williams
12. Thompson
13. Gallen

14. Villasanti
15. Maiava
16. Bird
17. Dykes

1. 15 min Villasanti on for Stosic
2. 25 min Bird on for Williams
3. 30 min Maiava on for Douglas
4. 30 min Dykes on for Vagana
5. 35 min Stosic on for Villasanti
6. 40 min Vagana on for Dykes
7. 50 min Douglas on for Maiava
8. 55 min Williams on for Thompson
9. 60 min Villasanti on for Stosic
10. 60 min Dykes on for Vagana
Leaving 2 spare for unplanned injuries etc.

Dykesball is a different game.

POLLS SHMOLLS

Well to use the words of supercoach "I dont give a ratsarse anymore"

Well this year anyway ... after those three straight losses against the Clyesdale, the weakened Tiges and the Eastern Suburbs cocks, their first win in 8 weeks or whatever (found form this weekend too) I knew our season was over. The very week before the debacle begain our supercoach was spruiking about winning the first ever comp for the Black White and Blue. Whatever happens from here on in - is either a fluke or sheer arse... because simply we are not good enough and dont deserve any rewards for the sh!t effort put in in 2006 ... professional club ... it's a joke.

PSSSTSSSS listen... If we dont do anything about it - we can start to write off 2007 too... you can already see the scratchings on the plaster that are quickly growing into writings on the wall.

I've got to the stage where I just laugh allowed.... i know there is a name for that... maybe the pyschs in here can help me... it is that symptom that happens when you break the fear barrier of you live through your worst phobia and you just start to laugh to yourself. Well thats what I do now when I watch the team go round....

And it is compounded by that far-can grey and white bullsh*t that the 'imposters' are forced to wear...

"I feel better now"

Cheers

Sounds like a vivid description of Opesball.

Both halves are without a clue. Bring up Kearnay and Aitken. They will stuff up, but at least they will be a cheaper stuffup than kimmo and dykes.
