Being a Parra supporter, I hate Manly as a given (even if I admire the living sh*t out of Menzies).

I am conflicted that I appear to be hating Manly less now than I did pre Beagles - I think they have a more likeable playing roster there now, although Lyon, Matai and Watmough keep a stationary pool of venom within me.

In saying this, I voted the Storm.

Partly, because Eels meet them this week, but there are other factors.

Firstly, because of the whole crap about changing the dimensions of the field. If they asked, were denied, and made an attempt to do it anyway, as appears to be reported, they should be heavily fined in my opinion. If this is true (and I don't know for sure) then they are an underhanded, pathetic organisation. If they asked and were told no, and took no further action - fair play to them.

Secondly, after Brisabane reported all their verballing and mouthing off, I at first gave them the benefit of the doubt. But watching their last encounter, and seeing Emmett bustled into touch, you could see ALL of them present, over him talking sh*t, and having a go.

To me this is piss-poor sportsmanship of how the game is played. A light bit of sledging here and there, no drama. But if they build their tactics around it, then they come across pretty gutless.
