Loved the books and radio show.

I'm a bit concerned about the movie, but will see it any way.

Never really pictured Ford Prefect as a black yank before, but it might work.

I think Tim from the Office is perfect to play Arthur Dent, though.

I'm quite fond of the BBC's adaption (I have the videos) and I've read all the books. If the Yanks have got hold of it that's a worry. Getting the gist of the sense of humour in the Douglas Adams books may be beyond them.

I'll be interested to see what Zaphod looks like in the movie, in the BBC series his second head always looked like it was zonked out on crack.

Just reading up a bit on it, it seems Douglas Adams had a bit to do with the movie before his untimely death so my fears may be unfounded.

Had to read the book and watch the BBC movie but i actually liked the book..the movie was iffy compared to the book.

Can't wait

I think it will be a hard book to adapt - too many of the best lines would be impossible to use without the use of a narrator (which would suck)

but theres some great dialogue there too so it should be interesting.

That's the first thing I thought as well. I hope they dont decide to put their own spin on it.
