Hi folks,this is a team of under rated british players who have all been unlucky not to be in the GB teams/squads over the last couple of years.
How do you feel they would compete in the NRL?
I would love to see this team play a full season in the NRL maybe calling them the British Lions.
Heres the 17 - - - - - - - -

1 shaun briscoe - Hulls 22 year old fullback who has bags of pace and is a great support player.Should of been in the Tri nations squad.

2 mark calderwood - has performed well for england over the past 3 years,probably the fastest in SL.

3 paul sykes - the solid harlequins centre is great in defense and has good hands.

4 Ryan atkins - the 20 year old wakefield centre is an awesome talent,he is a big strong centre.

5 David hodgson - How he missed out on playing for GB i dont know,he can score a try out of nothing.

6 paul cooke - an under rated stand off who andrew johns described as the most skilful layer he had played against.

7 Lee Briers - what can i say,he should be in the GB 13 every time,has the best kicking game in british rugby league.

8 Danny sculthorpe - Tough ball playing prop who is very under rated.

9 malcolm alker - salfords hooker who is described by karl harrison as the best no 9 in england.

10 andy coley - Was in the Gb squad this year,however he didnt get a game the 6ft 4 giant prop is an outstanding forward.

11 lee radford - similar to andrew ryan,tough workaholic who never stops.Surprised GB have never played him.

12 Simon Finnigan - Born in england,23 year old solid 2nd row who must be near a GB call up.

13 Rob purdham - england captain,who is solid as a rock and can play at 6 or in the centres.

SUBS -----------------------------------------

14 paul king - always been in th shawdow of the GB squad,hard prop who never stops.

15 Rob burrow - electric scrum half or hooker who would make any opposition panic with his outstanding attacking play.

16 eorl crabtree - Giant of a forward,Big daddys nephew.A great prospect at 6ft 6 and 18 stone.

17 chris bridge - 22 year old stand off who has great attacking taklents and is very solid defensively.

My captain would be
Lee Briers.

I'm not familiar with all the players you mentioned, but am familiar with most. And it's an impressive side.

If they arent good enough to make the GB team i cant see them competing in the NRL with any success.

A lot have been left out of the GB side that maybe shouldnt of,players like Briers,purdham,sculthorpe and cooke would,i think compete in the NRL.

There is only a few ESL that I would like to be honest. Cooke, Maguire, Roby, Gilcmore, and Peacock. The rest are meh.

Stop comparing ESL with NRL...it is like creating a team of NBL all stars and seeing how they would go in the NBA....they would be lucky...lucky to win 5 games out of 82!
