I am loving all the excuses for Kallis.. On talent alone he is probably the best cricketer in the world but he lacks the temperament sometimes to play the sort of innings the team needs... No double centuries in his Test career is a testimony.. He should have at least 5 for his ability..

Saw the great Jacques bat in a test match

I had just settled myself into the Victor trumper stand on the monday (bay 318, right behind the wicket), to only see Jacques slice a half volley to slip in the second over of the day, obviously was looking to dispatch it into the bradman stand. I couldnt hear a pin drop, my world had appeared over as it sunk in what had happened.

Then in the 2nd innings, did you see his act of sportsmanship, when he asked McDonald if he caught it? (rather than just stand there like a statue).

Youre alright by me Jacques. Looking forward to seeing you scorch a blistering 100 off 170 balls in the one dayers very soon
