I reckon its a great idea, not for the US timeslot btw, but because we want an all day event here, not some nighttime primetime garbage we've been fed over decades, and why not try to get it back to the winfield cup days of the afternoon match GF, you can still celebrate after the games done, these days most pubs are shutting up shop at midnight on sundays, it sux especially when its a public holday next day...
Flipside more eyeballs get to see it in the states if they are interested, and maybe we get a bit more cash for the same product... live

Out of all the hair brained ideas lately ( taking games to Vegas, buying the Super League ) making a small investment ( 23m is pocket change for the NRL ) and lending the NRL name to 'NRL USA' is the first half grounded and sensible idea.

If the NRL was to purchase the ESL and take an interest in a US comp, just reuse the NRL logo (the version below is way cleaner than the one used currently) and use different colours for each region.

IIRC, it said a 4.00 pm kickoff here for a 9.00 pm TV time slot in the US (didn't say whether that was US Eastern, US Central or US Pacific).

20 rounds home and away within conference and 8 cross over.

Top 2 in each conference qualify for finals and 2 wild cards ( top 2 of for and against independent from conferences) - top 8

Grand final to be rotating better Sydney, Auckland, Brisbane and England.

All rubbish ideas a whole Sydney comp and whole "other" comp and esl comp is wasted on everyone,
Just keep it as is, the brits would prefer to not have to mingle with the nrl unless it was a WCC as shown today, its the one quick fire way to dilute our comp extremely quickly
