Easy way to negate the narrow field - start a 1st minute brouhaha and get 1 player of each side sent off.
Even after the field is locked in place there is still only a meter of grass before the cement. You're aware that photo is before the field is fully rolled in and locked into place right?
@SuitmanEven after the field is locked in place there is still only a meter of grass before the cement.
Looking at the Barcelina V Milan game ( they had the same dimensions ) they but a fence along the side line before the cement starts. I'm not sure how they did corner kicks or throw ins as there is no room for a run up.
Surely they'll have to bring in sideline conversions a few meters ?
FYI Barcelon V Milan got a crowd of 38k, now that we've over taken that number are now the World Game
Naaa I left the cordial 4 uGo easy on the fairy bread and red cordial Hazza.
They plan to put pillows and cushions in team colours over the concrete. Should look great on the telly.Even after the field is locked in place there is still only a meter of grass before the cement.

What happens in Vegas? Reggie the Rabbit gives away the bride
Step aside, Elvis. When two Souths fans from the Central Coast got married at the Graceland Wedding Chapel this week, there was only one choice to walk the bride down the aisle.www.smh.com.au
The NRL field looks like it has more space behind the ingoals than the Barcelona v Milan game (photo from that)Looking at the Barcelina V Milan game ( they had the same dimensions ) they but a fence along the side line before the cement starts. @yakstorm you're one of the few level headed posters here ( I'm definitely not level headed lol ) what's your opinion on the Vegas games and the NRLs push into the US market ?The NRL field looks like it has more space behind the ingoals than the Barcelona v Milan game (photo from that)
There was still 7ft from the sideline to the fence for that match (though doesn't look like it), but back to the NRL match, the area they lock the field into does have grass on it (although I wouldn't personally want to be landing on it) so they shouldn't be hitting concrete immediately (or falling down a ditch)
Looks like an accident waiting to happen. Hope everyone is covered by insuranc. The NRL field looks like it has more space behind the ingoals than the Barcelona v Milan game (photo from that)

I just love the way the field enters the stadium. State of the art engineering. No wonder it cost two billion buckeroos to build, worth every dollar.
And we're still waiting for homebush to have a roof, I know bunnings have those huge tarps, that will work fine for 100 bucks for 30 metres lol.
7 billion?. WTF? Where's the money coming from? Are they building a stadium that holds 500k or sumthin? And somehow the QLD government were trying to push through a $7 billion rebuild of the Gabba
Apparently over 10k afl fans have travelled also, they wanna watch a better game of course. On Sunday the National Rugby League goes to Vegas. It might just hit the jackpot

Good to see local tv was there to cover it

Over
By adding a super league game next year that figure would be easily 10k
I like that they black the corners, which highlights the white lines!........
