NoIs it true players have to pay for accommodation, flights, food, from their own pockets???
I thought the clubs accommodated everything from A to Z
everything will paid for by the arlc
players will also get a daily allowance for spending

Yeh, but old mate above is stating that it's going to make a couple of mill profit.I suspect the costs might be lower than people think - flights will be subsidised/covered by partnership/sponsorship with airline, promotion/advertising will likely be covered by Fox/Betting agency (they’re the ones who stand to gain the most), clubs have made ‘partnerships’ with NFL clubs for use of facilities….
The costs will still be relatively significant, but I think many of the bigger costs will be covered by partnerships - companies/organisations aren’t getting involved in this for the love of the NRL - they’re doing it because they see a chance to make some coin from it, so will be happy to invest (especially if that’s just an investment of free/subsidised services).
Doubt they could afford it and the SB is also on CBS this year, no way they allow a fox ad.The Supr bowl is 2 weeks before the Vegas double header.. does the nrl pay for an Ad during super bowl??
Super expensive.. but could also but Super worth it.. Literally ALL of the US would then be aware of the NRL..
Travel has been heavily subsidised through the Fijian Airways sponsorship. Visit Las Vegas has paid the NRL to bring the event to Vegas, which includes subsidised accommodation.
If they sell all the tickets, travel & corporate hospitality, they look to make upwards to USD8-10m.
The AFR & SMH have put out there that the event will cost between AUD6m-8m.
So even if we assume only 40K tickets (60% capacity) are sold at the lower revenue figure, it still gives the NRL AUD7m in revenue after exchange, which lines up with Abdo's & PVLs breakeven point.
Yeh, but old mate above is stating that it's going to make a couple of mill profit.
That seems unlikely.
I mean if it did, let's relocate the whole comp overseas
I know someone who knows a NRL player, and he said that the players pay from their own pocketsNo

It does seem unlikely but if it fills out, that around 2 million at the gate, then there's tv revenue, gambling revenue, sponsorship ect. We can't discount the tv revenue slice that is in Australia either. Cost and earnings can be debated but I would say the revenue would be somewhere between 3 to 6 million and the cost once you figure that sponsors are picking up the flights and accommodation mostly can't be that high. It's the stadium rent is the main cost right? Anyone have that?Yeh, but old mate above is stating that it's going to make a couple of mill profit.

I've heard they have to row over in a canoe because the NRL won't pay for flights.I know someone who knows a NRL player, and he said that the players pay from their own pockets
What TV revenue? Wouldn't these games just be covered by the current deal?It does seem unlikely but if it fills out, that around 2 million at the gate, then there's tv revenue, gambling revenue, sponsorship ect. Ground rent is almost covered by current ticket salesIt does seem unlikely but if it fills out, that around 2 million at the gate, then there's tv revenue, gambling revenue, sponsorship ect. I love to prove you wrong you fkerYou're an idiot
And why wouldn't the tv revenue generated in Vegas not be attributed to Vegas? Same with gambling? What TV revenue? Wouldn't these games just be covered by the current deal?
If anything it's going to cost extra in production (a lot extra)
Same for gambling, wouldn't this just be covered by existing deals?
