Who is this clown? It's a game of sport nobody in the country has ever heard of. The NRL did a great job picking that location to entice so many Aussies to go there and watch the game. On TV the stadium looked packed until they showed the upper sections. Small steps.

RL could have a genuine future in the US, it is such a big market with space for the random little sports.

RL is perfect as it is basically American Football without the forward pass. It is quick, it is spectacular when done well and it is fairly easy to understand

The problem until now has been the lack if quality games and the lack of an event. With this across the next 5 years and a genuine plan afte that, RL could carve out a good little niche

Unlikely. Most of the negativity has come from Sydney based AFL and RU media. The brief mentions in the media here were very positive. Gerald Whately on SEN said it was spectacular and that it cemented PVL as the top administrator in the nation.
