what nonsense, you're not wiping out history, it will stay in the records, its called evolution. As you know the game never even started off being called rugby leagueNah that’s just defeatist
Maybe you are related to Neville chamberlain ? lol
You’re totally wiping out a good chunk of the games history
Plus if you know anything about Vichy they denied rugby league the right to use the name rugby and had to use the derogatory game of x111
There’s that nasty r word popping up againwhat nonsense, you're not wiping out history, it will stay in the records, its called evolution. As you know the game never even started off being called rugby league
Going by your logic we'd still be called 'Northern Rugby Football Union' lol
Wasting your time mate. He has a long history of arguing himself into a corner. Nobody agrees with him on this point but he just drones on and on against logic.what nonsense, you're not wiping out history, it will stay in the records, its called evolution. we could keep the 'football' bit then if those 12 years mean so much to you lolThere’s that nasty r word popping up again
In all the names the game has chosen r is the only constant
If you want to wipe out the r then the games history starts at 1907
I can live with that as the name as long as everyone pronounces it in a Yorkshire accent.what nonsense, you're not wiping out history, it will stay in the records, its called evolution. As you know the game never even started off being called rugby league

Rugby League is bigger in Australia than any other country in the world, and yet half of the nation has no idea of the nuance between the two codes. Most people aren't as stupid as is being made out on here. If they're interested enough in the NRLs promos and the games it's easy enough with the internet to see there are two types of Rugby

you'd have to know if people are likely to search for NRL or for "rugby" to know the answer to that one.You can't undo what's there. The nrl aren't going to change the game into another sport so some people don't get confused.
Considering nobody on earth cares about club rugby or that super rugby crap you'd have to be a huge dullard to confuse the NRL with the ARU when searching for the NRL on the Web after seeing a NRL game on TV with NRL splashed on the screen.
.
And apparently you can only search for a single word or acronym in a search engine.you'd have to know if people are likely to search for NRL or for "rugby" to know the answer to that one.
Type in Australian football Vegas’ and 9 out of ten searches are nrl Vegas 2025And apparently you can only search for a single word or acronym in a search engine.
That what gets me about this whole argument. Who types a single word into a search engine and simply takes the first hit to pop out. Type in anything logical logical into Google as the second word and you get the results you need.
And I don’t just mean league, albeit that is obviously going to work. People are going to type in ‘Vegas’, or one of the team names, or even the names of one of the handful of US opinion makers talking up the game but using the term rugby…
Guess where they lead?
This is presumably post Vegas when we've garnered someone's attention. Type in Rugby america and see what comes up.Type in Australian football Vegas’ and 9 out of ten searches are nrl Vegas 2025

I'm not sure the Yanks currently have enough education to differentiate between the Kiwis and All Blacks, however.
