This is a very good point.The other thing is that NRL games (played in Oz/NZ) on the weekend are on a great time for the UK viewer; watch them all morning and then have the afternoon to do something else (potentially watch football at the start and end of the NRL season).

If they can get to regular sellouts then the event will become a source of more profits and also save the nrl 1 million on the cost of a traditional season launch together with all the other benefits
