I don’t know how many new fans it’ll bring or how much revenue it’ll generate but I’m glad they’ve done it. It’s created plenty of buzz and looks fun as f**k. If the Knights are playing next year I’ll definitely be saving my money up to go.

I was at the media launch yesterday and it was off the charts. Packed out, felt like a carnival of excitement. The feeling was overwhelming and yet felt like it’s still in its infancy. Similar like atmosphere to Magic Round in Brisbane but in Vegas. Everywhere I’ve went this week there’s NRL jerseys everywhere. I agree with some that the Yanks won’t understand or necessarily get behind this, well in the short term anyway. But this is for the fans of the game from the heartlands to come together and celebrate League. It will sell it every year from here on. Word of mouth will drive this.

What i like to see from this Las Vegas venture is for some college players to have a crack at rugby league and eventually become NRL footballers.

Have providers like Netflix and Amazon become more familiar with the sport and that down the track they could get involved in tv rights.

Also build relationships with sporting clubs ,businesses, influential individuals, sponsors etc. But of course, getting noticed in America / Vegas won't happen overnight.

What did you expect after two years that it would be a big sport in America ??? lol

Getting 50k people watching rugby league in America is a huge achievement

Even 60k watching on Foxsports in America is a great result

What’s the alternative ?

Have the season launch as taking a photo with the nrl captains of the harbour bridge then Canberra v warriors in Canberra then sharks v Penrith at shark park

Lots of people are talking about rugby league. Many who have never heard of the sport before

All the social media it’s getting will be seen by millions and millions

Without diving into views on the concept which I haven't provided what are the historical and current TV ratings in Aus for the Superbowl and how has that translated into an expansion of gridiron here?
