I agree, I think two NRL games plus the WCC next year would be good.I think 4 games in a day has always been a questionable decision.
That's not really that big a factor though.Nz tv market

There is no way they are doing Vegas to suit NZ pay TV.
It's the Big Bash effect.I think 4 games in a day has always been a questionable decision.
There is no way NZ TV is that big to the NRL that they based their entire Vegas strategy around it.Literally posted in the articles previously
Do you ever have a clue about anything
I think moving the 9s from Auckland stuffed it up. It was building some real momentum as an annual event but then it went elsewhere, it lost it luster. It's the Big Bash effect.
Based on some initial success, they expanded it to rapidly.
Got to make sure you don't kill the Golden Egg.
The Nines got killed that way also.
I know you are as thick as sht there are four tv markets that need to be catered todayThere is no way NZ TV is that big to the NRL that they based their entire Vegas strategy around it.
It might have been a factor, but it's not the reason.
Same thing happened when the SOO was held in Perth. The bloke who runs that famous pub near Optus said no other sport came close to the amount of kegs they went through when they held Origin at Optus. He said can we please have it every year. LOL. Prob as much a League thing as a Pommy thing.
Pommie effect
I agree but I think they must have identified that early timeslot as being the best for the US and wanted a NRL game in it.Yes if they are desperate to stay with the 4 games in a day format, get a couple NRLW teams instead.
Put these games along with SL as openers. Don’t break up the nrl games.
The positives out of this year have been the build up both in Vegas and the media coverage here, and it does look like they sold over 50k tickets which is great. But the scheduling is terrible.
???The Rock should have been here to blow the horn instead of getting told to go f**k himself in Toronto.
Ok, I knew the first bit but no clue about the Netflix bitA few people in this thread said we should have gotten the Rock to blow the horn. Instead he was on Netflix being told to go f**k himself.
Problem for scheduling with the womens' game, given that NRLW doesn't start until much later in the year than March - so realistically all we can do in this window is a womens' test match or exhibition Origin game.I’d be happy with 1 NRL game, 1 ESL game and the WCC.
But realistically the women will be there next year. Whether it is a Aus v NZ Test or a NRLW game I have no idea.
