Being here I’d say 45k is what will be announced, but hard to tell. Just went for a walk during the Ladies games and theirs 1000’s of people getting drinks, waiting in line for merch, etc.
out of All the Jerseys I’ve seen this week the Sharks have the Most followed by the panthers.
the place will look mint when the main attraction comes on.

It's the Big Bash effect.

Based on some initial success, they expanded it to rapidly.

Got to make sure you don't kill the Golden Egg.

The Nines got killed that way also.
I think moving the 9s from Auckland stuffed it up. It was building some real momentum as an annual event but then it went elsewhere, it lost it luster.
I really hope they don't move magic round for the same reason.

There is no way NZ TV is that big to the NRL that they based their entire Vegas strategy around it.

It might have been a factor, but it's not the reason.
I know you are as thick as sht there are four tv markets that need to be catered today

America is probably the last one

You’d be the first person to cry if the American tv ratings are under 100k

Yes if they are desperate to stay with the 4 games in a day format, get a couple NRLW teams instead.

Put these games along with SL as openers. Don’t break up the nrl games.

The positives out of this year have been the build up both in Vegas and the media coverage here, and it does look like they sold over 50k tickets which is great. But the scheduling is terrible.
I agree but I think they must have identified that early timeslot as being the best for the US and wanted a NRL game in it.
Not sure whether it was the NRL, or Nine, that wanted one women’s and one mens NRL game for the free to air slots here.

I’d be happy with 1 NRL game, 1 ESL game and the WCC.
But realistically the women will be there next year. Whether it is a Aus v NZ Test or a NRLW game I have no idea.
Problem for scheduling with the womens' game, given that NRLW doesn't start until much later in the year than March - so realistically all we can do in this window is a womens' test match or exhibition Origin game.
