The last Game I went to see ...

Date: Monday 16 January 2006.

Venue: Carrow Road, Norwich.

Score: Norwich City Reserves 0 vs 5 Tottenham Hotspur Reserves.

Competitition: Barclays Premiership Reserve League (South).

Attendance: 2,213

Report (in under 60 words): Fantastic value for £3.50 (only £1 for old gits and schoolies). Norwich remain bottom of the Reserves' league ](*,) . The reasons became too clear. Superb goals from young Spurs' side. Catering excellent (thank you, Delia ;-) ), but inferior to the Aggborough Soup \\\\:D/ .

Report: Not a bad match a vast improvement on the week before (not hard to be) which as Moffo rightly points out was one of the worst sporting matches I'd been to. A great atmosphere created by the near 700 odd Mariners that travelled down. A 1-1 result was just reward for both sides who put in a spirited display although the touches weren't always the best. Yorke also missed a penalty.

Venue: EnergyAustralia Stadium, Newcastle, Australia

Score: Adelaide United 2 Newcastle Jets 1

Competition: Hyundai A-League

Attendance: 10,000 odd

Report: A tight affair early, with the halftime score a hard fought scoreless draw. A mini-cyclone early in the second stanza coincides with the game opening up, and Newcastle grabbing the first goal through Vaughan Coveny. Newcastle then try to sit back and defend the one goal advantage for half an hour. Adelaide seize the advantage and score two goals in three minutes. Game over!

The last game I went to see....

Date: Friday 13th January

Venue: EnergyAustralia Stadium, Newcastle

Score: Newcastle Jets 3, New Zealand Knights 0

Competition: A-League

Attendance: 6,000 (felt more than that though)

Report: First ever soccer match I've been to, was quite a good atmosphere.

Catering: Fish and chips were good. Also the Carlton Draught in the can (not usually my specialty) hit the spot nicely.

The last match I went to see...

Date: Thu 12th Jan 2006

Venue: Members Equity Stadium

Score: Perth Glory 1 - 2 Adelaide Utd

Competition: A-League

Attendance: 5033 (lowest crowd in Glory history)

Report: Dreadful weather in an open stadium plus a dire performance by the Glory in their previous match and this being a Thursday night fixture led to the lowest crowd in the Glory's ten year history. That didn't stop me from going and although the Glory lost, for the first time in about five home matches the players put in a bit of effort and looked remotely like a football team. Stuart Young started for the first time and played well. An encouraging performance despite the defeat, but it may be too little too late for the Glory.

But they ran out of cups in the 2nd half though.

So no more Sydney FC style beer showers.

One of the best days in my life, that day. :D
