Nothing to do with the NRL. Its the RL commission that makes these decisions now. The NRL answers and should answer to the commission which looks after the RL itself. Not the interest of 16 franchises.

Yeah well if 20,000 people send an email to the NRL, I'm sure it will get heard by the appropriate party.

I just want to see less talk more action. If and one has contact deatails for the ARLC or International Rugby League Australia send it through.

Sunday PNG - USA on 9

It's not hard to get something set up like this for every year, just need the idiots running the game to get off their arses and do it.

If it was shown live on Gem at 6.15pm it would about a quarter of what it would if shown live on the main channel at the regular time of 7.30pm.

Is this really what we want when we are in the middle of negotiating another contract?

As for the sunday game, 3.00pm kickoff for a 4.00pm telecast. Business as usual....

inexcusable. this is exactly why 9 should not be given the rights, their coverage is an abortion and they constantly make the wrong decisions, it's the same with their coverage of the cricket. The people making these decisions at 9 are loonies.
As far as I'm concerned this should mean 9 are automatically out of the race, they should be blacklisted and be no chance of getting the rights.

Tigger Madness is right though, the scheduling of this game is unfortunate. Pretty sure it would be live if it started at 7.30 Aussie time. However unfortunately Eden Park is in a bad location, in a residential suburban area and the residents have a big say in the scheduling of events due to noise considerations.

Channel neins blown it and dropped the ball on too many occasions over the years and little brother GEM is notorious for popping up ads right in the middle of a play!

I can't see how this is 9's fault, for one the AFL now has a free weekend to broadcast nation wide. The ARLC/NRL have knocked on here.

A stand-alone weekend for the Test match is a good thing, it gives all the week's attention to the Test which it deserves and players don't have to back up 24hrs later. But having a representative weekend for 2 games (one in my mind meaningless) is showing a lack of thought. Surely matches involving Fiji, PNG, Tonga & Samoa would give players an incentive to choose these nations, they don't even have to be telecast on Free-to-air, just give these nations some tests!
