Here comes the lame " you can only support a team if you're from there or have family from there" line..

I haven't been to England or Emirates but I am an Arsenal fan.
How can you say that I am not, just look through the "LU Arsenal Brigade" thread and see how many times I have posted.
I'll take a picture of me with my Arsenal jersey if you wish.
Even my myspace layout is an Arsenal one , with a video of the shoot-out v man utd in the 2005 fa cup final.
Just because I haven't been to England or Emirates doesn't mean that I am not a fan of Arsenal.

Oh ffs...

"I bought a jersey, I post on a forum and I have a background on my MySpace."

True blue fan right there. You didn't even know what St Totts day was.

How am I sposed to be able to afford to get a return ticket to London while I am doing my preliminary HSC?
Bumble, you are an idiot.

You say that like your "preliminary HSC" actually counts for something.

Moral of the story is: You don't understand what it's like to lose your club, you don't understand how many people would be devastated if they lost their club and you are most definately a complete and utter merkin if you would be happy if Leeds, Chelsea, Spurs or anyone else was kicked out of football.

I wasn't really a big fan until last season.

Of course I don't know what losing my club would feel like, and I am pretty sure that I won't lose the Jets or Arsenal. Why would I bother feeling sorry for a team if they went broke?
Stop trying to get the sympathy vote

Why would you feel sorry for the guy who killed himself because his wife left him?

Why would you feel for the girl who was working as a prostitute because her parents cut her off?

Why would you feel sorry for the Africans who all have AIDS because they live in a 3rd world country?

It's called EMPATHY, you stupid little sh*t. If you really think that it would be good for football for Leeds or any other club to cease to exist then not only are you a merkin, then you're also geniused.

as opposed to those glory boys that follow man ure. The club that let filthy american dollars invade the epl and started the ball rolling on the repulsive practice of clubs becoming playthings for billionaires.

Real Man U fans follow FC United....

So you're saying violent Leeds fans are true fans and Manchester United supporters, we're scum?

I generalised Manchester United fans as... Manchester United fans?

Leeds fans are infamous for their violence and carry on, particularly towards us. I have experienced it and so have most of the United fans I speak with. These scum will no longer have a banner to use as an excuse for victimising people who just want to enjoy football and support their team.

Mate, I said nothing about violence. I dunno about you, but I've been to Elland Road and there were no dramas whatsoever.

Football hooligans, regardless of who they support, are not fans of the shirt they claim to follow. They nothing but criminals.

BTW, didnt the Man U glory boys play up in europe last year. pot.kettle.black glory boy ;-)

They are totally different things.
Football is a sport, not life or death.

That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard.

To many millions around the world football is their escape, a way in which they can feel good about themselves helping them to forget thier lives for whatever reason.
One day you may realise what I have just said, I beleive if it wasn't for sport of any code we would be all worthless.

Every club has thier Hooligans, don't think for a moment the Man U are any different; If it's real Hooligans your after look at the London clubs. With the exception of Arsenal they where always thought of as a bit of a joke.

Nail. Head.

Shut up NP.

You think the violent element of any club is going to just ignore it if their club gets demolished? They will either:

1. Go to other teams games just to cause trouble.

OR

2. Forget football, and just become violent on the streets.

Yes I admit that football is sometimes a person's escape from the world, but it still isn't "life or death".
A person isn't going to kill himself if his football team goes broke.

I spose that was directed at me?
Your spelling is a joke by the way.

I guess it's sad that I would feel sorry for you and other Arsenal fans if Le Arse ceased to exist. Oh well, you know you don't really know what you're talking about. You've followed the sport for what, a season and a bit?

Two countries started a war against one another due to the result of a football match. I really don't think you understand how important football is to some people.

Attacking someones spelling and grammar is the last bastion of someone who knows he's lost the argument.

------------

Moving on, we will start the season with a 15 point penalty. Hopefully our starting 11 stays fit because we have F*** All depth. In any event, hopefully we can string a decent run together and make the playoffs. It will be a long road back for the mighty Whites, but we WILL be back in the English Premier League eventually. We have too many fans and financial potential to be dead and buried at this point.

Bumble, I started following Football and Arsenal since the start of the 2003-04 season, just before Arsenal became "The Invincibles"

Bumble said:

Actually Bumble, I know how much Football means to some people. My school has a large African community. The ones who play football just want to be able to be a football star for the biggest european clubs and earn money to support their families.

I may refer to that as the rebuilding phase my good man. Alot of players have gone looking for greener pastures since the administration debacle.

Something absurd like that. I think the real number is around 20-25 including all the youth players that we're going to have to call up. We still have guys with EPL experience like Eddie Lewis, Alan Thompson, Frazer Richardson, Johnathan Douglas and Shaun Derry.

Also a bloke who used to play in Germany, Rui Marques - You may have heard of him?

In any case, if our top squad stay healthy for the most part we will be going back up at the end of the year.
