I wonder who revved up Mitchell to the point that he would go at another player like that. Not Bennett ( ordained perfect in all ways) . Mitchell dose have a past but this was really out of character , (and Mitchell and Manu were friends) I’m thinking it would be a coaching staff member. Any thoughts.

I don't think anyone revved him up, it's just in his grubby nature to want to go high and hurt players. You can see it all the time in his game when he gets all pouty and emotional. Exhibit A when he slammed the ball down and carried on when he returned.

He's been suspended for 10 weeks this year. Got 75 carry over points hanging over him for next year and the loading if he gets someone again will be even steeper.

When is he allowed to play again ? Do trials count in suspensions? Say Rabbits get knocked out week 2 of finals that's 3 weeks he'll serve. There's no rep footy.

So he'll miss the first few weeks of next year too.

Like Trent Robinson I was a disturbed by the fact that no officials reacted to the incident, that Manu had to draw attention to himself for the so-called match officials to actually react. I dont know whether this is being asleep at the wheel or trying to avoid taking action on a supposed poster boy of the game. I'm also disturbed that he wasn't sent off straight away, given all the who-hah this year about clamping down on high tackles and contact with the head.

I suppose that it’s the fact that he has been friends with Manu and that he showed no concern at what he had done mistake or otherwise. Good point about the match officials. Are they told not to interfere?
