Anyone can selectively quote, if you go back entirely my strike rate has been better than most, when you're not afraid to make a call, you take the good with the bad

Well you should know Fwankie you just owned yourself with the most recent one

The greatest part about making fun of you is that you truly don't realise just how stupid you are, while everyone else can see it. You are the gift that keeps on giving.

Dana White reckons DC v Jon Jones to happen in April, possibly at 197 if they can get it up and running in NYC.

Can't wait for this one. Jones has been training like a savage for months without even a confirmed fight booked.

Sometimes adversity can be a real blessing in disguise. I think jones needed to hit rock bottom for him to readjust his path

he's still doing his stupid shit on social media, uploading vids and then deleting them after.

he hasn't changed at all - mentally, a leopard never loses it's spots.

His issue wasn't the social media shit - plenty of other fighters/athletes engage in that crap.

His issue was that he wasn't training seriously and was relying only on his talent and skill to get him through fights. It seems that has changed now as he is training the house down. Hopefully it sticks, but I couldn't give a rats about social media posts.

Who cares what he posts on social media, Conor acts like a douche on social media and no one says anything about it. Problem is substance abuse and lack of work ethic

Which ties into his personality of being an immature prat.

The difference with Connor is that he doesn't pretend that he isn't

Again - being perceived as an immature prat by internet nobody's had nothing to do with his downfall. He clearly has a fresh focus towards training and a hunger for more success.

Whether that sticks is a different story.

You struggle with basic comprehension fwankie, it means Jones is still fake which is a personality trait, he can train his arse as hard as he wants but the odds of him going back to coke somewhere in the near future is still odds on

I gotta say... I actually agree with Craig here....

Conor is the same guy on all platforms...

Jones just seems fake.... He's all praise jesus and respectful martial artist to the media... And when he thinks no ones watching he gets caught calling DC all sorts of things...

If your a shit talker... Be a shit talker.... People will accept and if you can back it up will eventually respect you for it...

But don't try and sell yourself as something your not... People see right through that shit...

And you've just made my point FailKloppter. Anyone who thinks they know anything about the psyche or inner workings of someone's personality and their proclivity to return to an addiction based on social media posts is purely deluded.

Who is anyone to say that Jones being a fake humble guy in interviews then bragging on instagram has anything to do with his professionalism towards training and fighting?

As I said - plenty of other athletes do the exact same thing - they praise God and act humble in interviews but ham it up over twitter/FB/insta.

Conor is a poor example as there aren't too many like him over history - ie swinging his dick in every facet of his persona.

no fwankie you don't get it, you're just stuck in your own little world.

that's not what anyone is arguing, i even said "he can train as hard as he wants", his inclination to relapse into doing coke at some stage is the point and his unchanged behavior characteristics is the evidence behind this.

ie yes he is training well right now. yes he will go off the rails again down the track

Ignore this point as much as you want. It won't make it any less true or salient.

This is where you and I will always differ {insert new username} - I don't believe I can claim someone is "odds on" to relapse into using recreational drugs and snorting away their career based on one or two social media posts. That's called living in the real world.

Wonderboy Thompson - WOW!

I pictured a number of scenarios for that fight and that was the one towards the bottom of the list of likeliness!

Interesting times in the Welterweight division. I'd love to see Lawlor and Thompson tbh. Maia is the one getting shafted though.

Thompson vs MacDonald, Condit, Woodley or Lombard would also be sick.

Yeah ive never seen hendricks get lit up like that before - not sure if wonderboy would get the next shot - but he just owned the no.2 WW in the world.

I love watching Thompson fight they need to market the cobra Kai out of this merkin. Vs Lawler or McDonald would be insane

The only thing against him is that he sent our boy Whittaker to another weight class
