Of all the options... Anthony Pettis would be the fight I'd love to see... Because Conor would have to stand up and fight Pettis which is exactly what Pwttis wants.

And Pettis would be the ultimate test of Conor's stand up...

• * Cowboy says he's ready
• * Diaz wants McGregor to beg for him
• * Pettis wants in on it too

Dana has stated that McGregor will not cut back down to featherweight though. It has to be at 155 or catchweight of 165 for Diaz/Cerrone

You're right - Diaz/McGregor would break the internet. The trash talking and antics at the weigh ins would almost eclipse the action in the actual fight...

So it's been confirmed that Conor will fight Nate Diaz...

But at Welterweight... :lol:

Apparently Nate was first choice but with the short notice he couldn't get to 150lbs. The UFC then offered a 160lbs catch weight but Nate wouldn't go below 165lbs.

They were going to make the deal at 165lbs but at the last minute Conor said "make it 170".... "Tell him to get comfortable..."

Seriously though... Going from FW to WW within 1 fight is pretty outrageous...

This is insane. I was looking forward to this fight before, but now I can't wait. The lead up to this will be absolutely crazy. With such a short amount of time both of these guys will be going at each other like rabid dogs.

I expect the weigh ins will break another attendance record.

Conor McGregor reminds me of BJ Penn in his prime...

Didn't give a f**k about weight.... Went up and fought Matt Hughes at WW after Hughes had dominated all in that division.... Went up and fought GSP to make that super fight.... Fought Lyoto Machida at HW... :lol:

He was just a fighter.... Seems like Conor is cut from a similar cloth...

I guess with Pettis coming off 2 losses it's hard to give him a big fight...

Don't get me wrong though... I love the Nate fight... But I would have been real intrigued to see if Conor could be as dominant in the stand up against a pure striker like Pettis as he has with everyone he has faced in the UFC so far.

And you know the fact that Conor wouldn't wrestle with Pettis means Pettis would have the licence to throw all his wild techniques... So would Conor actually... It would be amazing IMO...

So Mystic Mac has predicted he will knock Diaz out within the first round. Pretty big call given no one has ever knocked out Diaz in the first.

Then again - no one had ever knocked out Scarface before...

Just don't see how Diaz wins this fight. Don't think he has the power to trouble Connor at all. I could be misjudging Nate big time but I think he'll be cannon fodder for Connor .

I personally don't rate Nate very highly but I think given his heart and his length, if he can establish a decent range he'll survive past the first round. If he had any wrestling ability what so ever I'd give him more of a hope. I personally think the toughest fight for Conor at 155 is Khabib Nurmagemedov.

I think that's one of those fights where neither really lose or fall down the rankings.

Was awesome to see some vintage Silva too! His chin is not what it was, but I think he can still compete with the best - not saying he could beat Rockhold or Weidman, but I still give him a chance against any middleweight. Especially if he gets another fight within the next 6 months.
