But he’s not a f**king solution either.Harper is the least of our problems
Another player talked up by TCT because he looked good against reserve graders in mixed sessions.

Not really. The only thing they did was predict that he’d get first dibs at centre. If you say they talked him up as a some sort of a elite player, then I call BS.Another player talked up by TCT because he looked good against reserve graders in mixed sessions.
They talked him I’m as a first grader and he was some smart pick up.Not really. The only thing they did was predict that he’d get first dibs at centre. If you say they talked him up as a some sort of an elite player, then I call BS.
Yep, and every club needs first graders as backups. There's being a first grader, and being a "first choice" first grader.
Harper is now clearly not "first choice", but might make a decent occasional back up - at a commensurate salary.
How many of these other fringe first graders have their own appreciation thread?Yep, and every club needs first graders as backups.
We have ample of them in the forwards (Grieg, Maka, Ogden, Doorey), one in the halves (Asi) although he recently has been gazumped by Talagi, one in the dummy half (Hands) and one in the outside backs (Harper).
Add those 8 names to our top 16 (excluding Moretti who is on a development contract) and that is 24 of our contracted 28.
25th is Dunster - fringe first grader until his injury and would have developed into a first grader in 2022/23 if not injured.
26th is Mataele who has developed slower than even Hindy111 predicted back in 2022.
And the last 2 spots in our 28 contracted players are both deemed mistakes and won't be kept - Cini and Tevita.
So realistically, 3 wasted spots in our current 28 that contracts won't allow us to just get rid off.
Not the end of the world.
They f**ken all should. How many of these other fringe first graders have their own appreciation thread?
A first grader who would be plying his trade in England if it wasn’t for our mediocrity. With 56 NRL first grade games at clubs other than ours, doesn't that make him a first grader?
Not saying he is an elite player by any stretch, but definitely a first grader.
A first grader who would be plying his trade in England if it wasn’t for our mediocrity.
No club wanted him but us, that doesn’t scream out first grader to me.
The Harp misses a game and the team gets flogged.... co-incidence?
Your man has a bit of heart I’ll give him that. I’ve seen worse in blue and gold.Well done, my man!
Rocks and diamonds.Well done, my man!
He is shit list materialMr Harper was on the shit list, then off the shit list, then back on the shit list tonight. He is definitely heart attack material.
