Speaking of underappreciated artists, I note how the focus of The Cars was mainly directed to Ric Ocasek for his songwriting, or Ben Orr for his vocals and good looks (may they both R.I.P.), but the unsung hero of the group was definitely Elliot Easton.

His solo on Tonight She Comes is the stuff of legend

I found an old mixed tape a friend did for me from the early 80's and put into the walkman and this came up, a real blast from the past, must download a proper copy of it.

This is an odd one, really cant find this song anywhere although i do have the 12 inch single in storage somewhere. Used to dance to the extended mix of this at many a disco night back in 1982/83 then it faded into oblivion, just don't hear it anywhere now at all, actually the first time i heard it i thought it may have been a disco hit bought out by ABBA.

Agnetha first solo song after ABBA went into their very very long extended break.

Frida had I Know There's Something Going On which charted at no 5 in Australia
Agnetha's Can't Shake Loose only hit no 76 in Australia but made 29 on Billboards Hot 100 in the US.

Weird film clip but loved the song when i first heard it and still have the single of it and it comes up on my IPOD every now and then.

I was a massive Joy Division fan and when New Order started I was a little dubious about how good they would be without Ian Curtis, but I quickly realised that,while different to JD, they were every bit as good.
