Back in the day they must have used film for some music videos as quite a few are popping up in 4k on Youtube and look fantastic.

The best is probably Zombie by the Cranberries since it was quite well shot.


It's always weird seeing old footage in high resolution and colour. Kind of like how the pacific theatre was fought in tropical paradise (before the islands were completely levelled) but the surviving footage is all grainy black and white so your internal visualisation is nothing like what it was.
