BBC 4 broadcast a 1980 edition of Top of the Pops tonight. Included Cockney Rejects steaming into "I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles". Presumably a tie-in with the FA Cup Final. That game is best-remembered for Willie Young's ultra-cynical chop down of Paul Allen.

The chevron motifs on the early-80s Hammers home shirt make it look like a RL jersey. Which is the highest-ranked RL team playing in claret and sky blue? I would reckon Central Queensland Capras in the Q Cup.

I had the follow up records from them, I Need A Man and also These Boots Are Made For Walking with Jessica Williams. Think i still have Boots in the vinyl collection but not sure about the others.

Also have this song on vinyl, probably got it at Disco City also. Some of the original members had already left The Village People when they released it.

Not so much for the music but just doing a Michael Beck comparison movie wise, like chalk and cheese, i doubt if anyone has done such totally opposite movies back to back.

Michael Beck was so good in Warriors but Xanadu is such a guilty pleasure for me, mainly because of Olivia and ELO.
