Whatever!!!

You guys got flogged yesterday....pure and simple!!!

Get over yourself......

There's always the Brisbane Lions.....fool!

wow your interlect overwhelms me, how long did that take you to come with that?

I'd say like reefy, the chance of you coming up with something smart, funny and intelligent to say is the same odds as the Sharks winning a premiership.............none.
Brilliant display from the Cronulla side playing some outstanding football and never gave up.
Cronulla win 30-22
Straight from a match summary off leagueunlimited story on the match

Do you think that thread really defends Goldy?
Which part of it is not in your native language

I said:
At least for a while

I said:
For mine, he seems to be an unfortunate "centre of attraction".
Make the call Stuey.
& by the way I'm not bagging Goldies effort. For mine nobody on the field barr nutley, tries harder than Goldie

I said:
For the record, Goldie & hilder made nearly 60 tackles between them for around 5 misses.
That is too many tackles for these positions.
On Goldies down side he made 5 errors. 2 weren't his fault, 3 were.
I said:
someone said:
even give reik a go in the centres, seers on the wing. couldnt be any worset

Actually, yes , that would be much worse

Face the facts Hulka, it was me & you. we were the only ones that held the Goldy torch when it appeared he was struggling to others. We knew it was just a confidence thing & lack of cohesion with very inexperienced partners.
It Would have been a very different story from me & you however, if he was playing like Merrit is now. f**k imagine, not even attempting to catch that ball yesteday. If Goldy had have done that there would have been more calls for his head than Brian smiths.

f**k me its a scary world when you and I agree

McGoldrick and Lomu have been the best buys so far. Zeus maybe more so when you factor in the money paid to Lomu.

In the words of The Wolf from Pulp Fiction, "Well, let's not start sucking each other's dicks just yet." There's still a lot of improvement left in him, I hope if he's going to be our long term starting centre he continues to get better.

If we are going to give ourselves wraps , then I have always made it clear that I am a huge McGoldrick fan.

I said at the start of the year he would be an origin player for us in the next 2 years, I hope he makes that come true next origin series.

I asked his head master today of his 100m times. But he failed to respond.
I think he needs a bit more speed to reach those heights.

Oh please get some glasses.
I may, but definitely not from your optomitrist.
Ikin got smashed trying to tackle Stevo. This is a common result from people who try to tackle Stevo. End result when you take on ourcheif hurtman, concussion. Stevo should open up shares in casualty ward.
So you know which tackle hurt Tate do you? Was itthe one where BK drove him or the one 4 tackles before where Goldy absolutely smashed him?
& Berrigan was being driven backwards when he did his leg by 3 defenders.
It was a smash up of the highest order against one of the best in the business.
The Broncos are reeling today.

Fine you wanna play it that way.

Reeling in SECOND spot and not holding onto EIGHTH by our finger tips.

Sharks best in the business? Thats some funny sh*t right there, hows eighth looking? Sharks will be lucky to finish there this year, 10 if they are lucky. The only teams the Sharks have beaten that mean anything are the Storm and Broncos, and the Sharks needed a serious injury toll before and during the match to beat the Broncos. Good luck with your dreaming about finishing in the 8.

hey fool who won?
yep thats right the team "holding onto EIGHTH stop with their finger tips" beat the team "reeling in SECOND spot"

with your team you can afford injuries, just about everyone of your players is in Origin class how many do we have 4 at the most.
i cant believe rich teams like the Broncos whinge about injuries to "key players when you have a player just as good to back up.

. . . Now a few questions on Goldy.
What do you reckon his 100m time is?

Hard to say at the moment as hasn't been done for a while. What I can tell you is that he is one of those annoying players who always has another gear in reserve but doesn't use it unles he has to. As a schoolboy he smashed Lockyer and Plath's running records (still hold them as far as I know).

blacktip-reefy said:
Why does he like to let the players on the outside?
The reason I ask, is that on a couple of occassions there was near catastrophe for him yesterday because I don't believe he is quick enough to do that against some players of the speed of Tate or as was shown against St Geo Gasnier.

What people failed to realise was that in reality the first couple of games this year were 'debut' games for him. He first played NRL in 2002 under Anderson asnd only played 7 (losing) games that year. He was dropped after he was signed by the Waratahs. He didn't play again til this year -- 18 months out of 1st grade is going to take a couple of games to get back up to speed. I think this, combined with some early on lack of confidence in the inside defence led to the 'inside out' approach.

At no stage did Tate get away from him. There was one hit and spin by Tate where he evaded the first attempt at tacke was was grounded after that.

He didn't play against St George so can't answer that one.

Constructive Criticism that I am willing to concede on. for the right answers of course.

No problemo -- constructive stuff is always accepted and in no way do I wear blinkers. There are occasions in every game where I think 'What the f*ck did you do that for?'. The one thing that annoyed me was the perceptions that:

a) he wasn't good enough -- when I knew that he is and
b) he wasn't trying -- he has been knocked out 3 times this year and cut twice in putting his body on the line.

Good answers.
I wonder if he's still got the edge on Locky? That would be f**king nice to see that come unleashed.
I didn't think Tate got a way from him, but it was close. Too close for mine, near the line on one occassion.
& on the effort thing, that was an easy read. Nobody barr Nutters was trying harder than him at the start of the year.

Sorry to hear about his melon.

Beenthere, I hope you will forgive me for critisising his early form. It was only my opinion and you admitted it yourself that he needed a bit of time to get back to speed, which I am happy to say, he has.

I hope he continues to improve and becomes a fixture for many years.

As I said in another thread, my brothers best mate is Cam Ciraldo from PL, (should change my sig to Name Dropper) so I used to see him alot when I lived in OZ. And I used to grill him for info. According to him, McGoldy is the fastest at the club over ten metres......
