That's because he isn't a genuine 1st receiver. The last halfback who allowed him to play his normal flamboyant preferred running game was Robert Lui. You can see how evident that is now..

Yeah he looked horrible at halfback when we won by 40 points

That's the only good game I've seen him play at halfback, and it was his kicking game that destroyed the Raiders, not to mention how terribly bad Canberra were on the day

I recall one D Lockyer being unable to play 1/2. No doubt Lockyer is one of the finest players ever but please give Marshall credit for his ability to be able to make the transition,

Transition to what? The best of one position to average at another. The old weaken one position to try strenghen another is a stupid mentality that Sheens will never ever change from.

Transition to 1/2. And who would you suggest be half? The loss of Lui has been signficant. Miller hasn't been able to make the transition from NYC to NRL yet. Humbe is not a 1/2.

There are no simple solutions. Sironen looks a player of potential but obviously is being nursed along as was Lui. He is a 5/8 but seems to be able to work with Marshall.

You just hit the nail on the head "NURSED ALONG LIKE LUI AND SIRONEN" When has Miller , Motzen and Humble ever been nursed along ? They had maybe 2 games each and were expected to be f**king world beaters.

Also if any of the 3 played the last 2 weeks at 7 ppl here would be blaming them. The games we lost with them were genuinely failures in the forwards and not the number 7 at all.

You still haven't answered my question about the identity of the player you would put at 7.

Hasn't Miller played 5 games?

Moltzen was shifted to fullback due to Tedesco's injury.

Humble appears to be the utility.

Lui looked the part but off field issues saw him depart.

I don't see any of these players being the solution. If you watch the juniors you would know the identity of the player most likely to be the future 7. Unfortunately, all young players need time to develop.

Any off them 3, or Spence from Bret but he is out injured for season.
At the moment we have an average 6 AND 7 , id rather Benji be back in his right position to at least have a great 1 of the 2. f**k just friggin leave someone at 7 to develope because changing all the time is going no where.

You have to take heart from the fact both Wests and Balmain are producing good juniors. Cherrington featured in the GIO game this morning for the Hills.

This is what Wests and Balmain traditionally do, we produce good juniors and there are plenty of good ones in the system.

put moltzen back to half were he trained the whole off season leave ryan at fullback ,cant get why you move your half to cover the loss of a fullback surely the loss of a fullback is easier to replace then the loss of a halfback.

Moltzen to halfback, Ryan to fullback.

problem solved. That'd be a damn sight better for our halves.

But then super coach would have to admit that his genius idea of the season was a dud. I reckon we're stuck with Benji at half for the rest of the year.

I think Benji offers so much at 6 that you could put Galloway at 7 and it would be a better 6 and 7 than any of the options that Shines has trotted out this year.

For mine and of what we have available, Moltzen seems to work best at 7 with Benji at 6. Althought Humble has done a good job there to.

If you have a 50% half and a 100% 5/8 its better than a 50% of each..........
