Gee I hope there's not a lot of clubs clamouring to get JAC's signature... Oh wait, there must be interest after all, because we had to offer him a PO to get him to sign at that price.
He’s off contract in the sense that we’re not stuck with him if we don’t want him.

But if he agreed to a CO then we must be paying very well, as you’d expect from a club that just freed up a ton of cap space.
But now he's off-contract already without even having played a game for us - oh the humanity!
No different to any other player signing a one year deal

Yeah yeah. But why do you bang on about the POs and COs so much whenever they're mentioned, if they're no different? You even got them mixed up in your post about JAC... time for your summer break perhaps?

That would make sense... however Pou's post (#650) claimed it was a PO.

Guess we just can't trust the accuracy of this thread...
That was a typo. Everyone but you would’ve understood from the context. I mentioned the possibility of the club not activating it. Obviously clubs don’t activate POs, they activate COs.

Who said they’re no different? They are complete opposites.
Read the post of yours I quoted. You said their no different from signing a player for the non-option year. I had thought you'd remember the words you yourself posted - forgive me for not spelling every single detail back to you...
Looks like you’re the only one who got them mixed up.
So you typo wasn't getting them mixed up, and me pointing it out to you is... rightio then.

I know it probably wasn’t a big deal to not move, nor is Northern Beaches to Parra/Kellyville in any way comparable to North to Gong, but f**k me the guy was here for almost a decade.
And people complain about not organising a bus on grand final day. f**ken thing would’ve kicked off at 5am to drive around Sydney to pick the f**kers up
Do you think Penrith had a bus pick up every player from their house starting at 5am on grand final day?

I said signing JAC for one year and him being off contract straight away (the thing you were whinging about) was no different to signing any other player for one year.

Well it's a lot different to signing Morgan f**king Harper for a year, isn't it.

And it's different to signing JAC for a year without the option, isn't it.
See above
But you know that.

Less difficult given they all live on River Rd. My point was there was clearly a limit to bleeding blue and gold. Not saying he should have moved 7 minutes from training, but hour plus each way would take its toll. Maguire first edict in Brisbane is essentially telling players to find somewhere closer because training starts and finishes at set times and no one gets to start late/leave early

My point of contention wasn’t anything to do with the players’ residence. I’m saying the grand final preparation being poor is a valid criticism.
