I wasn't happy with the way we started the game we lacked the intensity that they had and they showed in that first 40 that they wanted it more than we did, the second half was a different story.

We really have been poor starters for a while now.

The turning point was the Lowrie kick through on the last tackle after Slater had dropped the bomb. Where were our halves?? A repeat set there and who knows.

Yeah, that was a massive, massive play we farked up.

All the momentum was with us. A ball into the ingoal with a good chase is either a try or a repeat set. The lift in the crowd if we got the repeat set would have been huge.

Melbourne's set following that play was the one they got the penalty in, wasn't it?

No offense to Todd, but FFS.

Morts has a good head on his shoulder, and with a bit more experience next year, if we were in the same situation, I'd hope he'd be rushing in there screaming for the ball.

He has to be. To some people here on the forum whinging about peoples efforts,wake up to yourselves.When you sit down to watch it on tv you will see it was a top game to watch and they all gave it everything. I was very impressed with morts in tv coverage,he was everywhere and trying his butt off,he is very much like hindy in that way.
All in all a great day and an extremely great effort by the boys.
