I agree with you. Kingston has been a terrific player this year for the Club.
I have heard he will be signed by the Raiders for 2010. Good on him...
PS loved the shirt a bloke was wearing at the GF saying KINGSTON 14 BUCKS A GAME..on the front...and Will Play for Food. Very funny...
Terrific atmosphere

Pete, Kingston was telling people at the fan day this arvo he would be staying an eel. Time will tell I guess.

1; we had 3 or 4 sets of 6 on their line and come up with nothing.
2; we didn't mount any pressure at all.
3; we didn't move up at all in the first half.
4; we only really had 1 player bending the line in fui fui moi moi.
5; kicking game was non existent.

but very proud of the boys,we beat some quality teams to even get there.

Jack Gibson said to Sterlo in '81, "Kick to the seagulls".

If there's no seagulls there, there ain't no players !!!!!

I wasn't happy with the way we started the game we lacked the intensity that they had and they showed in that first 40 that they wanted it more than we did, the second half was a different story.

imo we played one of poorer games in the past 10 weeks, really on putting together 20 minutes of solid football, the other 60 we looked very one dimensional...but it doesnt helped when melbourne shut down nearly everything we threw at them...think rob jeffson's kicking game was costly

just thinking ahead....the teams gonna have a sh*tload of expectation on it next year to get to the final again and in most peoples books if we wont it will be unnaceptable....we have crumbled in previous years, be interesting to see if the new blood we have recruited can prevent this from happening

hopefully with poore and shackleton in the forwards they can make metres for us and give the halves a bit of room to work with

I am waiting for Poore.

He will help oh so much with Fui to get the team going forward.

Caylo will then be able to play the passing before the line more and not worry so much about the hitups

If you're not smashed by Fui or Poore up the middle,

You'll be smashed by Hindy or Benny on the fringe.

Out wider, You'll get smashed by Tahu on one side and maybe INU on the other.

BTW, what's wrong with Caylo playing 2nd row.

He could play the 3rd prop role in the starting side.

Gee I agree 100% with these posts.

It was so disappointing that ALL of the Storm's tries were really so soft, especially the Inglis try from the bomb. That was the clincher, it killed all momentum we got from Grothe's try.

Sorry to say, but Parra just looked overawed again in the GF, and unfortunately our inexperienced players came up with some very poor options. Our halves did not stand up to be counted, eg. how did Lowrie end up with the ball on the 5th tackle to put in such a poor kick?

Yet we still nearly got away with it - the Storm has run out of petrol. Pity we gave them too much of a headstart.

I will forever wonder what would have been if Hayne, Ben Smith or Robson showed some urgency to go up for that bomb.

It was similar to 2001.

We hesitated in the 1st 40 min.

The players didn't want to make a mistake. They didn't want to take the responsibility of stuffing up. They were overawed.

Only Grothe, Hindy, Mateo, Kingston, Matt Keating and the BIG FUI weren't overawed.

Only when we realized that they had to get on with it, then they starting clicking. But then came Lowrie's grubber.... and that was that.

Same with 2001. We came back strong and in 2001, 6 pts away could've gone into golden point.

One thing that I thought Bellamy did well was put on replacements at the 14 min mark. Fresh legs to keep the screwdriver on. It worked a treat because they never let up.

We lost it in the 1st 30mins ala 2001.

Ususally Burt will step inside away from the tryline. However, he chanced it and was tackled into touch.

Anyway, well done to the boys to get there. I must applaud that.:clap:

no seagulls i saw some pigeons there though maybe they could kick it to them

The point is, if you kick away from the defenders, the better your chase and the better the field position. That's where the kicking game Parra employed let them down.

Gee I hope I haven't been set up and taken your comment the wrong way !!! :sarcasm:

He will help oh so much with Fui to get the team going forward.
Poore will bring a great work ethic to our front row, the guy is always keen to take the ball up and get the team rolling forward. Plus big joe to me didnt seem like a natural prop like Poore is so our team will benefit big time for that swap in personel.

good to see fui bruise in defense in the GF but i think he plays it safe most of the time. I feel like we lack those big hitting players sometimes but the inclusion of Tahu should help. Poore hits like a pillow in defense, always wraps up the legs which is great but doesnt put the hurt on.

BTW, what's wrong with Caylo playing 2nd row.

He could play the 3rd prop role in the starting side.

our lock attacks the left fringe while our #12 stays to the right with hindy playing a roaming role. Cant see why we cant have fui or caylo play that roaming role in the openning 20. Having Poore, Fui and Caylo on the field in the openning 20 would be great for us!

I don't watch alot of the dragon games but against Parra, Poore put some hits of Fui.

DA might change his style anyway like he changed Benny and INU.

In the GF, only FUI was hitting hard. Benny for some reason was soft not his usual aggressive self. Lowrie was extremely quiet. He didn't even have his angry face on. INU didn't see much of the action.

I hope the shack and tahu adds more sting to our defense.

I like fui running wide all game not just the end. Running into halves and centres would take less out of him than bashing into 4 big forwards.

It could keep him on the field longer.

I hope Fui plays till he is 35. We will miss him dearly.

When Poore fires up he hits and runs very hard ala rnd 26 & SOO 3 but he isnt like that all the time.

loving the thought of what DA can do with shacks, he is a big athletic guy, under DA he could be anything.

There is no way next year is fui's last season with us! we need him forever lol
