Synchronicity 2

Now THERE's some f**king lyrics ... right there !!
Tis also one of the very best songs of all time ... please excuse me while i load it into winamp, along with Murder By Numbers ... soooo much Gold right there !!

Another suburban family morning
Grandmother screaming at the wall
We have to shout above the din of our Rice Crispies
We can't hear anything at all
Mother chants her litany of boredom and frustration
But we know all her suicides are fake
Daddy only stares into the distance
There's only so much more that he can take
Many miles away
Something crawls from the slime
At the bottom of a dark Scottish lake

Another industrial ugly morning
The factory belches filth into the sky
He walks unhindered through the picket lines today
He doesn't think to wonder why
The secretaries pout and preen like
cheap tarts in a red light street
But all he ever thinks to do is watch
And every single meeting with his so-called superior
Is a humiliating kick in the crotch
Many miles away
Something crawls to the surface
Of a dark Scottish loch

Another working day has ended
Only the rush hour hell to face
Packed like lemmings into shiny metal boxes
Contestants in a suicidal race
Daddy grips the wheel and stares alone into the distance
He knows that something somewhere has to break
He sees the family home now looming in the headlights
The pain upstairs that makes his eyeballs ache
Many miles away
There's a shadow on the door
Of a cottage on the shore
Of a dark Scottish lake
Many miles away, many miles away

Murder by Numbers ...

Written by sting & andy summers

Once that youve decided on a killing
First you make a stone of your heart
And if you find that your hands are still willing
Then you can turn a murder into art

There really isnt any need for bloodshed
You just do it with a little more finesse
If you can slip a tablet into someones coffee
Then it avoids an awful lot of mess

Its murder by numbers, one, two, three
Its as easy to learn as your abc
Murder by numbers, one, two, three
Its as easy to learn as your abc

Now if you have a taste for this experience
And youre flushed with your very first success
Then you must try a twosome or a threesome
And youll find your conscience bothers you much less

Because murder is like anything you take to
Its a habit-forming need for more and more
You can bump off every member of your family
And anybody else you find a bore

Because its murder by numbers, one, two, three
Its as easy to learn as your abc
Murder by numbers, one, two, three
Its as easy to learn as your abc

Now you can join the ranks of the illustrious
In historys great dark hall of fame
All our greatest killers were industrious
At least the ones that we all know by name

But you can reach the top of your profession
If you become the leader of the land
For murder is the sport of the elected
And you dont need to lift a finger of your hand

Because its murder by numbers, one, two, three
Its as easy to learn as your abc
Murder by numbers, one, two, three
Its as easy to learn as your a, b, c, d, e

This is why The Police were regarded as one of the World's Supergroups during their time.

Crowded House, The Smashing Pumpkins, The Police and RATM reforming all in one year? Not to mention new Nick Cave and Metallica albums (which tend to imply tours) a probable Alice In Chains tour and the rest. I'm gonna have bugger all money to do anything else with this year, looks like.

 no one gives a sh*t about those albums. Nick Cave possibly the most boring singer of all time, can't sing for sh*t, looks weird, and lyrics and musical ability * yawn* i've heard cats f**k with more harmony.

As for The Police? great band!!! f**king love em. Sting what a voice!! love Andy summers work, love the use of delay and flanger in there songs, greta band.

Favourite songs

- Wrapped around my finger
- Don't stand so close to me ( not the original version eg on Greatest hits)
- Walking on the moon
- Message in the bottle

Just a great band who i really go into a couple of years ago, i'd go to there concert in a heart beat.

Alice in Chains is dead, get over it, remember it for what it was. Totally overshadowed by Nirvana, STP, Sound Garden unfortunately.

Received more hype, certainly, but AIC sh*ts on all of them.

Actually, STP and Soundgarden were great bands too. Nirvana were fairly crap.
