yeah youve got a point there but i meet some top blokes who i'm now good mates with and consider them highly and actually sometimes hangout because of our same interests i.e the sharks, and other $hit as well.

Personally I love the forum as its a great source of information, opinion exchange and comedy. I dobn't have many people to talk footy with, so it fills a personal void for me too.

As a one time sociology student, I can safely say that Black Dot made some great observations in his sociological analysis about people power and having a means of communication that people otherwise would not have to achieve things.

I agree.

I think one of the points of BD's post was that forums are are the way of the future and they will become far more popular for the fans with more involvement from their respective clubs.

The question is though who would the clubs appoint as spokesperson problem solver organiser and ear chew recipient ?
