For those of you who have purchased tickets, please post the PAX number on them in the bottom corner so we can see how many have been sold. I've been told the Roosters v Dogs game has already sold 30,000 tickets, so that looks like it'll be a sell out!

Here the availability - if you were planning on taking a bunch of mates to watch Canterbury v Easts in Cat. 1 & 2 on Saturday night plan again:

Category Availability:
Category 1 SINGLE
Category 2 SINGLE
Category 3 AVAILABLE

Category 3 would be preety close to being sold?

If only both finals could have been played at Stadium Australia, the crowds would have been huge for both days. Perhaps 60,000+ for each game??

Having said that, the SFS is a far superior ground to watch a game at...

This is second hand info but apparently ticketek were predicting tickets for the panthers vs warriors game could be gone by friday, though given their are 80, 000 available I find it hard to believe. WOuld be great if it were true though.

That'd be great. I'd love Penrith v Warriors to sell out Telstra because the AFL idiots said thw Swan Ballet Troupe would sell out and it didn't!

at $70 a ticket on average, the NRL would struggle to get 10,000 to a prelim final.
they've also had to resort to flogging off tickets for this game too

You just make me laugh with your outrageous League-bagging.

Don't you have a ballet performance to sleep at?

The androtop ball could have done with giving away 10,000 freebies. Then they would've got that sell-out they were so confidently predicting.

Syphon is a well known anti-league man on these forums who very easily hooks people in and changes threads to AFL V League instead of the topic stated.

If you want to stay on topic it will be easier to just ignore him unless he contributes something constrcutive.

On extremely good authority the Roosters V Bulldos game has only 4,000 tickets remaining. Heading for a 38 - 40K crowd.
The Roosters have sold their entire allocation and have sold out of their corporate boxes as seat only to cater for the demand.
Touch and go as a sell out.
The Warriors panthers is being promoted exceptionally and Eric Watson is leading the way.
There is talk of him buying upward of 15 - 20K tickets if the demand is there this morning at Aussie Stadium.
Assusme another 10K Kiwis buy tickets and the Panthers match that we are looking at around 60K plus for Sunday.
Over 100K people to both games is a massive improvement on the 68K that turned up to the same weekend last year.

i think you need to have a look at who initiates the slanging matches. i don't attack RL unless some bigot attacks another sport. I see attacks from League people towards other sports extremely hypocritical, when infact RL is right on the back foot in most regards, people tend to make anti afl/union snipes mainly because their own sport is in disarray, and in an effort to bring other sports down with them.

Syphon,

I apologise as reading i see others have usually said something first.

But you are on a Rugby League board and it would be expected that there is rivalry between the codes from people who cannot enjoy both. This is found on AFL and Union boards aswell.

Do you patrol those boards and make sure there are no bigots attacking league?? Or do you just make sure nothing hypocritical is said about AFL/Union?

In your time on the boards i havent seen you contribute to a thread other than arguing with people who bag AFL or Union which ends up taking the thread right off topic. In which case why do you bother on a League board if you have no intrest in League itself? (unless of course you do and there are threads and posts ive missed in which you join in the topic at hand)

From where I'm sitting, you initiate all the NRL v AFL squabbles.

   you mean as opposed to you making anti-Rugby League snipes? LOL... this is priceless stuff.

A question Syphon... did you ever hang out at the AFL NineMsn forum, the Sports Bar?

Another question... do you like any other sport besides AFL?

And one last question (indulge me) - do you have a great dislike for Rugby League and if so, why have you joined a forum dominated by RL supporters?

Go ahead... give it your best shot.
