Well done to Hughes! Hopefully he can kick on to a 100.

Cowan looks like he will be the one who makes way for Jaques return now.

So thats more important than Batting and Bowling now?

Well Haurie saves 20-30 runs in the field, so that compensates the batting. And his bowling is no worse than Dud Casson!

It doesn't matter how many facts you throw at him, he'll continue with his eternal ignorance

I can't believe Cowan can maintain a place in this team. He has been an ordinary opener since last year and very very rarely produces.

When are people gonna realise he is a massive dud bat?

1. Phillip Hughes
2. Usman Kwaqua (sorry can't spell his last name)

They should be our openers.

Young, learning, and great bat's.

And piss off Lambert...and put in Moises.

i think your spot on mick, cowan is more of a one day opener, jaques should be back on sunday for the frc, and bring back moises, he's had a couple of club games now, should be ready for a one dayer at least.

VIC are fighting back thanks to a couple of injuries to QLD (Noffke and Bichel)

2nd Inn: 2/303 (Jewell 138* and Hodge 127*)

lead by 75 runs

hopefully VIC can get 300 in front with 60-70overs left tomorrow on what now seems like a belter of a batting pitch

Shane Watson's a dog for not rolling his arm over for Qld considering three of their bowlers are injured. Sure he's coming back from injury, but if he's fit enough to bat (poorly I might add) and field than he is capable of rolling his arm over even if it's off a shortened run-up.

Very true, your playing for your state out there , not yourself!

It may have something to do with the fact he is playing as a SPECIALIST BATSMAN for the first 2-3 games. That is the way they are managiing his comeback. His hand injury is not serious, just a knock, he'll be fine to bat in the 2nd innings.
