The way I see things is that the Raider's Armie's singing is boring, and we need to toughen up or some crap, yet, your on an INTERNET forum bitching to raiders fans about this, it seems to me as though the sharks fans are the ones that need to toughen up, if you dont like the singing dont listen.

I believe this was a thread started by a Sharks fan for other Sharks fans. You Raiders people are the ones who interjected, not us. All you are getting from Sharks fans is retorts and replies to the bitching you are bringing in here.

This thread has nothing to do with the game. There has not been a single item of discussion regarding the game. The original post was one of whinging that the Raiders Army wouldn't shut up. The Sharks fans initiated the whinging and the Raiders fans interjected with the other side of the story. You sound like one of the people who believes everything he reads in the Daily Rag.

BINGO, we have found why this country has such a dickhead element!
Between the 2 games I consumed 6 beers, what does that have to do with the price of rice in China? I was singing all day, the beer is lubricant. I bet you have just turned 18 and think that you are 'sick' or 'mad' for drinking at the footy. You also add nothing by constantly calling out crap like 'get em onside ref'. The only guys that do that are the ones too pissed to see the field.
In regards to your last point, you should go live in England for a year. The men over there get stuck in, don't worry about that. I learnt a lot about drinking in that country but once again, it means nothing.

What do you mean? I believe I am one of the most impartial and fair people on these forums and my posts are constructive. This is more or less not a Raiders vs Sharks thing but rather a Singing at games vs Not singing. I am happy to debate the issue what is wrong with that?

Thats not it at all Sharkie. The point is that we go to games home and away, spend stacks of money, sing ourselves hoarse so that we can't talk till Tuesday and work our butts off to add atmosphere to what is a dull experience for people going to the footy. Some games I have attended felt like less atmosphere than in my lounge room. Then some people had a go at what we are trying to achieve, the first comment bagging us completely after we heard nothing of the Sharks fans all day. Of course I am going to bite back.

Not one of us raiders fans has come into this thread commenting that the ref was awful or anything, have a look. The issue we have all been arguing is that of the role of a supporter group. Have you read any of our posts?

It's because the content of your posts is deteriorating. Calling people "13 year old girls", morons. Referring to "the dickhead element". A clear sign of frustration and bordering on abuse for the sake of provocation.

Some of your aquaintences here are clearly struggling to debate in a non abusive, non aggresive nature and you are letting yourself sink to their level.

Are you not their "leader". Did you not tell us you led by example with your hand shaking after games to facilitate improved behaviour?

Yet now, you are perpetrating the behaviour you fought to improve at football games by becoming a peer to the name calling, repetitive and monotonous posters who have come here purportedly in defence of their "honour" but who are really just hitting out because of their disappoinment.

I think the raiders fans are a pack of dicks generally. Not just the ones in their little group......are you the ones that used to be the "death" squad ? That really was a wank ! but the ones on the western terraces and stand too....very aggro and very poorly educated on the rules of the game and what the hell is going on out on the field.

But.


I have no problem with singing and chanting at a game. I much prefer spontaneous yelling and cheering and the growing rumble that seeps out of shark park when the lads get a bounce in their gait as they feed a scrum 40 metres out on the attack, but singing is okay.

I'd love to see some more originality in it, but let me tell you, when you are at a ground in the UK with 12,000 there, and 3/4 of them are singing "ole faithful" ( hull FCs song) or something similar, you can physically see the away team cringe and get back on their heels in the defence line.

No, i've been a season ticket holder for over 10 years and I have never sat there or heard of the 'death squad'. They sound like a bunch of fools.

Good post. So you see the value of getting vocal. As you can see it is very hard to get people to join in here in Australia. The point you make still stands though, players in our team have told us similar things when we are singing them on to victory - in fact I am surprised at some of the comments and the impact we often have.
