For those knights fans who had their doubts, watch GB v NZ. You have a world class winger.

Definitely one of the stand-outs in a very good game of football. Both of his tries were great efforts, and took a hell of a lot of work for him. Anyone who ruled him out after the first test have shown themselves to be idiots. He's been all class this past two weeks.

Out of curiosty, what would you rather, Darren Albert signed here for 2 years like he did with cronulla, or brian carney on the deal he's on with us?

Neither, they'd both spend similar amounts of time of the field

As good as he is, its a worry watching him get injured like that.... I just worry that the money and time spent on him may be better off with someone else who's here for the long haul.

That said as much as I am against it I will cheer him on next year just hope that he doesnt do another Tahu "04" special on us.

Was just looking through the Tri Nations forum, and found this news article that jed posted regarding Paul Deacon's injury:

Deacon to undergo facial surgery

Great Britain scrum-half Paul Deacon will play no further part in the Tri-Nations after suffering a serious facial injury against New Zealand.

"He's in pretty bad shape," said Great Britain coach Brian Noble.

Deacon was due to have surgery on Sunday to repair the damage sustained in a collision with Nigel Vagana.

According to Noble, the Bradford Bulls player has fractured the roof of his mouth and will need screws inserted to help the healing process.

Vagana was placed on report and will face a disciplinary hearing on Monday. There is better news concerning Brian Carney, who limped off with a hamstring injury midway through the second half. "He has had treatment and has responded very, very well," said Noble, who expects the winger to be fit to face Australia at Hull's KC Stadium on Saturday.
Good to hear it wasn't a serious injury.

He is a great player and if he stays on the field he will be a huge asset in our backline.

The only problem i have is the fact that it is only a 12 month contract and then he goes to the Gold Coast.

Darren Albert barely missed a game for St Helens. His only real injury was the broken cheek bone he suffered in the penultimate round of the season.
