Take all the time you and your partner need.

If you see fit to return, we'll all welcome you back with lots of love.

If you do not wish to return, then good luck to you in your future endeavours and thanks for all the memories.

Take care mate - you're a great guy and I hope everything turns out OK for you.

Indeed, life goes on.

But one can't help but wonder what a world and what a life we live in. Plenty of euphoric highs, but lots of shattering lows.

But it takes a great person to see past the lows in life and move on.

When i read that the decision had something to do with his partner I had a bad feeling it could of been something like this.

It's got to be a horible time for both them and their families.

I can completly understand his decision to put his football career last.

Maybe he will come back to the Eels & League, maybe not. I hope that the negative reactions his retirement brought from some of the media and some of the public don't keep him from coming back.

Poor Jamie, I hope his time off does him a world of good. He deserves a good break and we'll always welcome him back with open arms.

There is a lot of love in here! :p

But seriously, its a pretty hard thing for anyone to go through and especially as they are both young and away from their families its very hard to cope with. Hopefully they are talking to the people that matter to them most and are sorting through a very difficult time.

Anyone from this club who bags Jamie Lyon at all should have there head read.
He has always given 110% to this club.

Well Hadley and Wielder (the person who wrote the bit about the reason Jamie left) have a well known feud so I doubt Hadley would beleive anything that DAnny Weilder says which could be why he as yet hasn't apologised.

If someone else had said what Weilder did it would be intresting if what Ray would have done.

Even still, I'm disappointed that the Sun Herald felt that they should publish the Jamie's reason for leaving - virtually every other media outlet kept it out of the public domain. An event such as that should be a private thing that Jamie & his girlfriend should not have to read about in the papers.

Hope to see you back on the park Jamie, even though I am a rival supporter. :)

Yeah I agree jed. The last thing he needed was to have details about his personal tragedy all over the papers. They should have just shut up about it like most other media outlets did.

While I'm not agreeing with with the Herald did at least they didn't splurt out endless pathetic rumours.

- Lyon is going to Manly cause he misses Cleal
- Lyon hasn't recovered from the ankle injury
- Smith and Lyon hate each other
etc etc etc etc etc

Have you noticed that since that has come out very little has been said about Lyon other the mentioning that he had sent congrats SMS's to the team afterthe Brissy game

I just wonder if it would have been the same if the Sun Hearld didn't mention it.

The other incident I can't believe is that another hot topic yesterday (which I won't go into) involved a player who couldn't be named "for legal reasons", even though many media outlets claimed to know who it was, and yet one of these newspapers was able to plaster it over the front page today. My question is, what had changed in the previous 24 hours?
