I thought the ref definitely favoured them tonight. Those 3 or 4 penalties straight after half time gave them a tremendous advantage.

hhmmm
Dubious call after the whistle for play on & bailey to score.
Excellent dominant ruling.
No farging around in the play the ball.
good 10 metres.
Few earlies.
Calm but authoritative.
7.5/10

He had a shocker. After he got booed off by the parra fans at halftime he came out and gave 3 or 4 square ups straight after the break. And for the all the Parra fan whinging in the first half, the ref actually missed a blatent parra knock on early the game. Remember when Peach did a silly pass coming off his line. Well the Parra bloke who dived on it did the biggest knock on and all the officials missed it.

And what about that Gibbo effort. I couldn't believe he didn't go the video ref, as from where I was sitting he looked millimetres away from scoring.

Made a few mistakes, but I thought it was a fair effort. That Bailey try was a deadset worry, I'd be off my head if I was a Parra fan.

Agreed, Noddy's penalty was stupid. And that's coming from someone with a #7 on hisd jumper...

The ref definiteyl should have gone to the video for Gibbo's try. It was right in front of us and was on the line. A Parra supporter said to us after the game he was right in line with it and thought it was a try. At least, it would have been paid on benefit of the doubt.

His mistake was actually blowing the whistle. The play was fine & was always going to be a try, but , I guess they can it put them off.

Well yeah, he shouldn't have blown the whistle. Its all a bit of a technicality - but in the end, the play should have stopped when the whistle went off. I guess it the right result occurred in the end, but it was handled very poorly and it gives the opportunity to complain.

I used tp get reffed by this old bloke who used to run with the whistle in his mouth.
Every time he panted you had to look around to see if he was actually blowing the thing.
f**king annoyin!

Check out the Parra site. They're screaming about the ref costing them the game.

Vaelecki went down injured. Sully ran at the gap. "It's not fair! You shouldn't be allowed to run at gaps. Why didn't the ref stop him?"

Pathetic

He should have gone to the video on Gibson's try. How he reckons he can rule on it from where he was is beyond me.

Also, Noddies penalty was thoroughly deserved.
I expect better from somebody like Noddy on the 5th tackle!!!
I gotta agree.....6.5 for my liking

average ref, remember the scrum when dykes knocks on, Hindmarsh actually picks the ball up from offside, but he re sets scrum with our feed, that should have been a penalty, but this is a ref that is here to stay, mor we play with him, we can see how he refs and work with it, he doesnt make players get off tackles over quick which suits our style and main thing is we won

I actually think he is about the pick of the new guys coming through (not saying a lot, I know...)

He made a couple of little errors, sure, but he is pretty well in control out there and seems willing to back himself. Most of the time he seems to get it right, which is not something you can say about a lot of the others.

There was one occasion he missed a blatant knock on

Another occasion one of the Parra players (I think it was Hindmarsh) never got back in defence and made a tackle anyway and he missed it

Gibson try or no try a shocker

But I was glad he didnt nitpick around the rucks

one more thing

noddy missed a field goal and a parra player caught it on the full, in his in goal area

am i mistaken in thinking that this should not have been a 20 metre tap? the player who caught the ball should have played on.

i know i wasnt the only one at the game who thought that.....what's the rules there?
