The Ref.

ref was ok really. none of 'em will ever get it perfect - none of us would even come close !

a few inexperienced blunders, but overall things seemed fair enough and importantly his interpretations around the ruck were fair and reasonable.

sorry parra fans but you can't blame the ref for that one. good game though and you'll win plenty more playing like that.

You're confusing yourself, Phillips.
Stevo is celebate, which includes self-gratification.

Also, Noddies penalty was thoroughly deserved.
I expect better from somebody like Noddy on the 5th tackle!!!

Yep, that flop by Noddy was foolish. Still he made up for that with that delicate chip kick for Dumas' try.

There has to be a question over Bailey's try in the first half. When the whistle is blown, the play should stop. But he got a tip from the touchie, and called play on.
Blatent knock on missed by the ref almost on the parra tryline.
On another topic, how about the friggin trainer in Jersey Flegg. He was running constantly with the players in the defensive and attacking lines. Never seen anything like it.

Thought the ref's performance tonight was ok compared to the usual crap that gets dished up to us. While it was nothing special, his performance was better than what some of the others would have produced (one ref which has cost us numerous games over several years gets a special mention here as does the ref who was in control of the corresponding game last year).

While a couple of mistakes were made none of them counted majorly against us.

What part of him giving them 4 penalties on the trot did you think would please me?

that they were all deserved

a referees scope is not to penalise in sequential numbers

it is not to award an even number of penalties to each side

it is to penalise teams in breach of the rules

you mistake penalty counts with conspiracy theories

I disagree with you Millers. How does that make me a conspirator? The crowd were booing their heads off in the 15 minutes leading up to half time and and the whole second half. He came out and buckled to that pressure. He gave penalties that were in the grey area. Not all of them. They were sequential though and that is what drew light on the bad ones. It turned the game in Parramatta's favour and that's what I was commenting on. Nothing to do with the overall count.

not a conspirator

a conspiracy theorist

one of my pet hates last year was ando blaming the refs

He gave penalties that were in the grey area.

unless you want to be specific there isnt much to discuss

other than to say in my view - as in every single game i have ever watched - calls went both ways

that's what I was commenting on. Nothing to do with the overall count.

well why this comment?

I thought the ref definitely favoured them tonight. Those 3 or 4 penalties straight after half time gave them a tremendous advantage.

it got to the stage last year where despite the sharks being the most ill disciplined side in the NRL some comments by shark fans in this forum were blaming the refs - that was embarrasing

the new coach has already improved the situation and hasnt bleated about its someone elses fault - he is fixing it

I actually thought that if the ref was listening to the crowd, we would have had way more penalties given against us

The crowd was booing offsides a lot

At time the ref was slack on offsides but it was both teams

He lived up to the usual NRL standard...get some calls right and f**k up a few, just what I expect from refs these days, and yes Millers they did go both ways,
other than to say in my view - as in every single game i have ever watched - calls went both ways
Shane Hayne....you wanna rethink that post Millers???? :) :)
And I'm also thinking of changing careers,I'm gonna become a touch judge cause they do f**k all and get paid to do so...what a job!!!!!!!

yes even shayne hayne

f**k it

i will say it

that debacle at parramatta last year was the sharks own fault

we can whinge and bleat all day about " the weeffewwees have it in for us and the NRL is conspiring against us"

but i am justy happy we now have a coach who is actually fixing it

/lots of finger waving and arm gestures
