Just state whatever you want. At the end of the day it means nothing. Look at the comp tables and ask yourself where are clubs like the Tigers etc going wrong. I'm glad the Roosters are my club. It's fun when your club is winning.

Hmmm yeah ...where we are going wrong.

At least my son can be , and IS a junior of the club that I support.

My club provides a team for my son and all his mates to play for.

The Roosters don't think they are bigger than the game. It was the Roosters who fought against Super league. If the Roosters just thought of themselves don't you think they would've jumped ship for the dollars and believe me they were offered a fortune to join super league. You people just attack the Roosters and 99% of the time it's not warranted.

Mate, your club is the same club who earlier this season threatened legal action against the NRL over the salary cap. They claimed how they wanted an increase in the cap because due to (surprise suprise) lack of junior clubs they were spending more money on developing players , a great example of this would be Luke Dorn who if im right has played once all season???? Money well spent in my opinion. Its not the fact he hasnt played well enough either, its the fact there's no way he can get in there with Fittler and Flannery considered ahead of him.

Now what i said earlier about the legal action, to me thats says you think ur bigger than the league. Your club thought about themselves and didnt give a stuff about the other clubs who dont even spend up to their cap, not because they cant attract the players but because they cant afford it.

Clubs like St George-Illawarra , Penrith and to a lesser extent Wests Tigers actually do have an arguement over the salary cap. As it stands now there is no reward for developing your own talent and for me this has to change.

Make payments to players more transparent and reveal the number, if not the names, of players with NRL-approved third party agreements outside the salary cap. Otherwise, would the man at the Roosters who has managed to squeeze seven Test and three Origin players, along with 15 other first- graders, under the salary cap, come and do my taxes.

With the talent you fockers have you should win comp by a mile every year ,but you dont.
NO JUNIORS
NO FANS
NO TICKER
NO PRIDE!

Eat it cake boy RC

Your team will always be winning, when the Roosters start to go shit (and they will) youll just jump ship like all Roosters fans will. I'd like to see you still be a season ticket holder after your club hasnt made the finals for 15 years

You are all praying that the Roosters fall. It isn't going to happen. Sure we buy extra players like every club. It is important to have depth. Maybe the Tigers could take a leaf out of the Roosters book, maybe then you'll experience that strange phenomenom called semi final footy. As for tigpie cam, you've got nothing son. When your club resembles a superpower like the Roosters then and only then can you talk it up. At the moment your team resembles a 60kg weakling that's just had sand kicked in it's face.

I've been supporting Easts since 1966, I can't see me changing teams somehow.

Within 3 years the Tigers will be a much better team than the Roosters. The names Bronson Harrison, Liam Fulton, Rob Farah, Bryce Gibbs, Dene Halatau, Benji Marshall, Sam Moa and Dean Collis will be owning your arse. Trust me it will be a whole lot more rewarding watching guys you have seen come through your junior ranks winning matches than players youve bought to ure soleless club.

I can remember Raiders fans saying the Raiders will always be a super power in the mid 90s. Times change.

'Kingdoms will rise to power, but kingdoms fall to dust.'

Remember 10 years ago. The Roosters weren't doing so great. In another 10 years you might be back there. Good on the Roosters you have been up the top for an about 8 years now. But you can't expect to be liked by other clubs who develop juniors to try and be a force and for them to see your club just buying players for success. Including offering 3-4 times more for other clubs juniors. Fair enough your successful but you are going to be hated for it like Manly were.

1st things 1st the Roosters have the best system in the comp when it comes to recruitment something I do wish we had!

Rooster Cogburn. said:
They don't have to pay the most. In fact they pay less than other clubs because they are such a desirable club to play for.

Um can someone tell this idiot he really does not have any clue what so ever

I won't even go into the figure because I know it would be a waste of time but you do spend more money than any other club on junior recuitment and you do bid a hell of alot more than what any club can afford in the lower grades to sign the best young talent to very good contracts - which I guess if you have the money good on you, but to say you don't do it please

Rooster Cogburn. said:
The players mentioned owe it to the Roosters for where they are today.

Yes they do thats because they are earning at least twice the amount they would at any other club (Luke Fahey for example is earning 3 times what he was offered at Balmain last year and he can't even get a run for the Roosters Flegg side  )

They don't owe the Roosters anything, Sure the Roosters played some part in their development however in saying that the Roosters do get what they pay for in return and thats top notch players - they arn't juniors ;-)

If they did they would be the only NRL club to rely on their own juniors as every other club buys players but it seems it's a crime if the Roosters do it.

I wonder how many junior players the Knights, Dragons, Raiders, Eels, Panthers and Tigers sign each year from other clubs

Put it plain and simple the Roosters buy more players to join their lower grades which in years gone by appear to be classed as "Juniors" when they are not!!

The Roosters spend nearly twice the amount any other club spends on their JF side and well there PL side is matched with the Dragons they do still spend close to twice the amount other clubs do in that department as well

Rooster Cogburn. said:
If you want to attack a club then look no further than Parramatta who have a huge junior area and yet every year they go on a spending spree. They spend a hell of a lot more money on players than the Roosters do.

See it appears your missing the argument here its not about top grade players being signed (the Eels do have a great junior development policy its just when they clash with Smith they are let go because he runs the place and thats why they have such a high first grade playing rotation) its about Juniors being signed or don't you understand that

Oh thats right a Roosters support wouldn't have a clue what a Junior meant

Yeah well we arn't going all that bad in junior retention and junior playing talent but in saying that if we had even half what the Roosters have to spend on there JF and PL sides I could see that we wouldn't even be talking about making the top 8 this year thats for sure ;-)

So why was it that there was thought about taking the NRL to court over the Salary cap which no other club was talking about doing

But hey your right thats thinking for the good of the game now isn't it and not for the Roosters

It isn't going to happen.

What happened last year then ??? If your not falling then how come your coming 2nd now for ????

It happens to all clubs it will only be a matter of time before you will be struggling to make the top 4 then top 8!

Rooster Cogburn. said:
Sure we buy extra players

Glad you finally admit it!!!!!

Actually he does have something and all of which you clearly avioded

Sure the Roosters are able to perform on the field but if they are really the super power you make them out to be then why arn't they leading the comp ???? and where are there supporters ???? why do they need to spend huge amounts of money to lure young talented players????

They arn't a super power they are a very smart side and a good one at that if they where it wouldn't be a 3-4 horse race for the title the Rooster would of already had there named engraved on it at the start of the season ;-)

why worry about the Roosters worry about your own club??

ask why they don't merge the lower grades
ask why they will play 6 games at telstra - all the big ones and 3 low profile ones at the dual home grounds.

You can't merge the lower grades if both sides don't agree can you? Balmain agreed to merge, but Wests didn't. + doesn't got with - .

The club actually have no problems playing games at LO and CSG. The reason we moved half of our games to TS is because we weren't making any money at our home grounds, actually technically we were making about 80g a game, but we lose it all by hiring things for the ground such as the lights, videoscreen etc and we are making basically nothing at the end. We are guaranteed atleast 75g per game at TS.

The move was a finacial move, and who could blame them? With the pokie tax coming in.

I think you should worry about your club, 2 GF losses in 2 years.
