Brooks would not be on a massive deal & could offer good value.
If Sullivan gets one more injury confidence in him as the answer at 6 will start to dwindle. Brooks, along with Fifita and Brown, all good players possibly needing a change of scenery. Still, hard to imagine but the guy can play.
Brooks was Dally M halfback of the year in 2018, there’s a player in the somewhere just depends who can unlock it.
I mean if hook is getting all this done and it comes to fruition and then we have a good season where we make finals, is hook still the bad guy? Does he then get hooked? Would we have any better options for his replacement?
Technically hook has got the best out of a few individuals including benny
In retrospect I don’t think Hook is doing as bad a job as many make it out. We were flying high in 21 till the BBQ saga happened & completely derailed our season which the coach had no part in. And in regard to last year, take Ben Hunt out of our side and we are fighting for the spoon but yet still pushed for the top 8 majority of the season.
We may use Fifita's partner Shanee Bent who lives on the South Coast to get that deal over the line. I think the deal she had to join the Raiders fell through. I believe Nathan Brown's management may have done a swap deal with Harper from Manly so that one may not happen. Brooks no thanks stick with the youth Jayden Sullivan is the future.
He has coached teams to finals playing conservative boring footy with no risk taking or attacking presence, he has done that here except we havent got to finals, I dont like his style of coaching I had high hopes for better things when he arrived to replace Mcpeanut, but I can now understand why he was removed as coach from the other teams. Maybe his forte is salary cap management or talent scout.
True, though when he took over this club was in the shit including the cap with little to no juniors coming through. Our cap now looks stable and our pathways looks better than ever. So there’s things he’s definitely made better and we all knew this was going to take 2-3 years to get us back to finals. Surely no one thought he was going to get us to the finals in the first or second year when couple years prior we finished 12th and 15th with a messed up cap. I guess this year will show us what we need to see. But I don’t think he deserves all the flack that he gets. And as for our conservative attack, Ryan carr will fix that!
Well I'm glad that you can provide info on this Forum loulash that can be either good or bad depending on everyones likes and dislikes on the Forum. You are positive and bring different views for us, thanks.
Keep the faith and hope OED. Our bad fortunes must surely eventually turn the corner to be good fortune? If the club as stated by loulash is working to get this club in a better way (and I feel that there are others who are seeing this happening), then there is something for us to at least look forward to in the next few years.I'm still in a bit of shock after reading @loulash 's post on players we are supposedly chasing! If Hook can take dragons to top 8 this year. He has succeeded in his job and club has recovered. Then the club can look into a top coach and/or couple of marquee players. No marquee player will come to our team if we don't make top 8 and top line coaches like Hasler won't look at us. Every commentator in the game has marked Dragons for wooden spoon in 2023. So as supporters lets be positive. Go Dragons... Make it to top 8 boys.... prove naysayers wrong.
