The Katoa rumour has more or less been put to bed.

Not really a position we are desperate to strengthen and yet it was the most excited I've been all off season thinking we might be able to land an actual decent player who is in favour at their club and at the peak of their powers...alas it was all a lie.

Hey guys, new poster here but have some inside sources at the club whom i’ve gotten good mail off so thought i’d share here. We are still going hard for David Fifita formed a good bond with Ben Hunt in the QLD camp so hoping to use it as leverage to get him here club is offering him 1 mill a season over 4 years.

Club have also offered NAS from Melbourne a lucrative offer to try & get him over here talks are in early stages but.

We’ve been talking with Nathan Browns management to try & get an immediate release to join us with a deal running through till 2025 which Parramatta are willing to do.

The club are also looking at potentially making an offer for Luke Brooks who is off contract at the end of the year should things not work out at Wests this year, he is good mates with Mbye, Lids & Woodsy & club see him & Hunt working together very nicely.

I personally believe the club has done a lot of work over the off season to improve the mood/culture & we will see this transpire into the season ahead. Hook has been working more with the players to see what they want as a playing group/individually which has lifted the mood amongst the boys. Things certainly heading in the right direction.

Wow thanks for that loulash! Certainly can do with big bopper nelson and nathan brown to take over recruitment but thats about it! I wouldn't pay more than 800-850 tops for david however if we can score him at price he will be very useful! And keep luke brooks out of this convo please haha

Club is definitely heading in the right direction recruitment wise. Regarding Brooks, I think he plays much better as a 5/8 & not a controller which he will be coming here to do. Noticed last season when Hastings wore the 7 at Wests Brooks looked pretty good, imo he’s not a 1 million dollar player but would be an upgrade on Sullivan in the 6 jersey.

Nelson & Fifita would do wonders for our pack which I believe is currently one of the weakest in the NRL. I think NAS especially would be a great mentor for the kids coming through.

There have been lots of issues with his attitude in pre season plus discontent amongst the playing group for how he handled the Bulldogs saga. Would not be surprised if he was allowed to leave.

Not everyone is going to like some of the decisions being made but rest assured club is working real hard at turning things around for the better.

Hoping there's some truth to your mail. Need to revamp the squad to get back in this comp. To pay for Hunt and Fifita alone would mean we'd have to do a lot of culling. Luckily we've got a lot of dead wood to chop.
