Thank you! Has anyone watched this kid play? If so what are your thoughts? I mean at least he’s not 32 and at the end of his careerViliame Fifita

I cannot believe Hook was still persisting with Bird at 5/8, all I can say is thank god he injured himself and Sullivan came good. FFS Bird himself didn't want to play there, and nor should he.

Yeah I agree with you it would make no sense for him to come to dragons but maybe a spot in the 30 and potential debut this year could lure him away."Viliami Fifita is a promising young Manly prop who has risen through the very successful Sea Eagles Pathways Academy.
A damaging ball runner with speed and agility, the 194cm/112kg prop first joined Manly as a 14-year-old junior development player.
Fifita will be looking to further develop his game and learn from established props Josh Aloiai, Taniela Paseka, Sean Keppie, and Toff Sipley after being a development player in 2022.
He is definitely a player to keep an eye out for in 2023."
This is what I was able to get from the Manly website. I haven't seen him play.
I don't know why he would leave the Sea Eagles to come to us??
Manly look strong in 2023.
From what I have read Viliami looks like a good young prospect. The Manly fans are not happy at the prospect of losing him, which is a good sign. As @Dragon David said (as did many of the Manly fans) "Why would he leave the Sea Eagles to come to us?""Viliami Fifita is a promising young Manly prop who has risen through the very successful Sea Eagles Pathways Academy.

well if he has potential then lets put a serious offer to manly and his manager , or is it like the others we may make an offer after he has signed elsewhereYeah I agree with you it would make no sense for him to come to dragons but maybe a spot in the 30 and potential debut this year could lure him away.
Interesting to hear, let’s see if dragons can lure him away. Not be a negative sally but I have my doubts. From what I have read Viliami looks like a good young prospect. Maybe he was promised a fast track to first grade?
see if des wants to come over and join him tooInteresting to hear, let’s see if dragons can lure him away. Not be a negative sally but I have my doubts.
Look I wouldn’t be mad if that happened to be honestsee if des wants to come over and join him too
The y cant cancel his contract. He has not brought our club into disrepute. It is before the courts now so that will determine what the club can and cant do. If anything the NRL will do that first.Oh great, he may be available to play on a legal technicality. Not withstanding this is still a bloke who chased another bloke off with a hammer. Plus his father has prior form - significant red flags were clearly ignored throughout the engagement and development of this player. This type of behaviour just doesn’t pop up out of the blue.
If this club is fair dinkum about addressing the cultural issue in this club, they will sack Amone for breaching his contract (bringing the club into disrepute) and move on and start signing quality players, rather than turning a blind eye for the sake of filling a roster spot because the kid might be talented (although is largely yet to prove himself as a consistent first grader).
Money talks, we've got over $2M left in the cap as far as I can make out. Paying the kid a bit overs could do the trick if the coach rates him.Yeah I agree with you it would make no sense for him to come to dragons but maybe a spot in the 30 and potential debut this year could lure him away.
The club can 100% tear up his contract. What world are you living in!?The y cant cancel his contract. He has not brought our club into disrepute. It is before the courts now so that will determine what the club can and cant do. If anything the NRL will do that first.
Why dont you ask the NRL to cancel his contract for bringing the game into disrepute. Why have they not moved on that should answer your point.
Reality. Not the wishful world you are in using emotion. The club can 100% tear up his contract. What world are you living in!?
Fair point! I feel like they are trying to keep cap clear for the next coach. At this point who even knows what’s going on behind the scenesMoney talks, we've got over $2M left in the cap as far as I can make out. Paying the kid a bit overs could do the trick if the coach rates him.

If it does get done, Haran can then turn his attention to landing a namesake of Asofa Solomona (likely to be a lot harder) and announce that he has delivered two big names to the club.Manly may be in some Salary Cap pressure due to signing Cooper Johns.
ie; they need to keep under the cap we need a forward and add in we have a spot available and we have $$ available.
No guarantee that the deal will get done, but we should know very soon.
Clearly you have the memory of a goldfish and zero background in law if you think there are no grounds to sack him on the basis of being charged with a violent crime, or if you can assert that there is zero precedence of players being sacked on behavioural grounds (whether a conviction was recorded or not).Reality. Not the wishful world you are in using emotion.
Why what has he been found guilty of?. Speculation?. Media reporting? He maintains his innocence.
But you are right the club can try and tear the contract up and cast him out.. but they wont
Why because of the legal implications..nor will the NRL either which they have the right to do also. Might not be the outcome you want or likely what it deserves on the outside looking in but its reality.
Quick service and a quick kicking game by Hunt from the dummy half position would solve much of the problem however, I agree we should be using Lomax to get us downfield as well.Zach herring looked nice for sure and does have a good boot on him but I just think right now we need more forwards than anything. The metres we need mainly needs to come through our non existent forwards pack and our backs. Too many times we are not gaining metres because our forwards have no go forward and quick play the balls, plus we had a slow hooker that wouldn’t take advantage of quick play the balls if there ever was one. Wouldn’t hurt to have a big boot but I’d rather us fix the main problem rather than the secondary problem which is ultimately caused by the main. I feel we have an efficient kicker in hunt when we have some go forward as we usually see him kicking 40/20’s, 20/40’s to get us out our end.
Sign Des up as the head coach and he will bring both D Fifita and V Fifita to the Dragons."Viliami Fifita is a promising young Manly prop who has risen through the very successful Sea Eagles Pathways Academy.

i think it is better to let the courts settle it.Clearly you have the memory of a goldfish and zero background in law if you think there are no grounds to sack him on the basis of being charged with a violent crime, or if you can assert that there is zero precedence of players being sacked on behavioural grounds (whether a conviction was recorded or not).
As to your assertion that he hasn’t brought the club into disrepute, there is a reason every dragons social media post being commented with hammer emojis. The only argument that he hasn’t brought the club into disrepute is that the club was already well and truly a basket case and the joke of the league already.
But hey, if you’re in favour of keeping a player who was charged by police and alleged to have chased a tradie off the roof with a hammer, perhaps that speaks to your character, or the fact that the club has set such a low standard for such a sustained period you have become desensitized to it all.
