Then you mustn't respect guys like Thurston/slater etc who also miss them close to the line. It's his 1st season in the top grade...give the kid a break ...He is one of the best prospects we have had in years according to coaching staff and others in the know.

You just throw around sweeping statements with little supporting evidence which is your opinion, fine.

Stats are all well and good but they don't necessarily show defensive deficiency or out of position play. BTW my previous post was purely sarcasm with a hint of wit. No ill will intended. I will say that Dufty is improving. In fact I admire that he bounces back up when he has been hit up from some fairly big blokes. Not too sure about the way he's being coached but that's another story. Cheers

Interesting for me is that the Dragons website posted a recruitment update on Thursday, where he discussed the promotion of Sailor to the top 30 and the signing of young Saab to a long term deal.
It appears that video has since been taken down.

Anyone know why? Was there something in there that wasn't right? or, is their some extra news coming that needed more attention? an exciting signing perhaps.

As far as I know Sailor is still development player.
But will find out tomorrow.
So mybe that it.

Does anyone have the inside word regarding Brett Morris? Of course, there was a rumour circulating that he wanted to return by the June 30 transfer deadline, but it was stymied by Canterbury.

Given his apparent desire to return, does this mean he’s a lock in for 2019?

Not too sure. Dogs have stated they are keeping him. Whether he gets a say in this is another story. Dogs are imploding.

It’s the sadistic side of me, but watching Canterbury implode is kind of fun.

Morris is off contract at the end of the season. Do you know whether the Bulldogs have made public comment regarding his future?

Nothing concrete, but I read an article last week saying they want to keep him. If he is off contract I would want our club to stake our claim on him. He's playing phenomenal footy. Fingers crossed.

Agreed. His acquisition would be a massive boon. I guess the 64 dollar question is that since it appears Morris tried to leave, does he really want to stay there particularly as Josh will be playing for Cronulla?

Brett has always given his best & has imo been their best for the last couple of seasons so I think the contract thing is just a coincidence. Having said that he’s not the future for us he’s the past.

Last year he was riddled with injury. What I see today is a rejuvenated player and a bloody good one at that. I would have him back in a heartbeat. I see glimpses of hope in our future players but not enough to remortgage. I'm fairly sure I said in an earlier post that if we could get him on a one year contract we'd be a better team for it. Dogs know it though.

He’s always been a terrific winger & fav of mine but at his age with speed being his main asset injuries become more frequent & recovery longer. He would have to come cheap with no guarantees but looking at the way L plate has handled Nighty I fear we could go through the whole ordeal again.
