He had a similar post 5 days before.. same thing.. about getting home and hugging his kids etc.. I think something has gone down there for him.. I doubt its hook related, hes the NRLW coach, thats his main gig (or was anyway).

There’s a few youngsters in Reserves and Flegg that deserve the opportunity to have a crack at 1st grade throughout this season.

2024 is going to be pretty grim I fear. External recruitment is already tough, there isn't much quality off contract. Add to that we're in the middle of what could be the worst season in club history, and the attraction to come here is zero.

This is what I don't think our club understands.. the damage that them being passive causes.. both in the Hook extension early 2022... and then by not sacking him late 2022 when it couldn't be more obvious... or at the absolute latest.. sacking him within that first month of 2023 when we were still awful.. the damage will take a generation of 'good' management to fully resolve.

We still haven't even filled our 2022 cap yet either.. we had marquee money ready.. plus we still need to replace Cody.. .. but the positive is if we land a big name GM and Coach.. we will get some signings on the back of that.. but it takes a long time to truly fix a roster.

Don’t know why they wouldn’t at least have a chat with Cheika. Surely a head coach is more about setting the team up for success. Man-management, standards of excellence and belief, all of which his record shows he can do, which is more than Ryles has shown so far. The assistants should be the ones running the attacking and defensive structures (although probably not in Hooks case, as he’s so stubborn and controlling).

Not saying he is the one we need but wouldn’t you want to meet him and see what he’s about and how he would make us successful again? And have a point of comparison to a bunch of rookies in Ryles, Hornby and Young.

My source at the Storm said Ryles was a very good "man manager "but he knew when to be tough on them when required.
No Boring kick down field Rah Rah coach, should be in charge of another NRL team, after Alan Jones was last experimented in that role.....
