Contracts certainly don't mean much nowadays. If the Roosters have actually told Ryles to pack his bags now and leave the tri-colours, then the Roosters in my opinion cannot expect the Dragons to pay any compensation as a result of this. But, in saying this Ryles has been reported to having cold feet in joining our club, so where will he be going?

Heard from a pretty reliable source that Hooper recently received a call from Politis after an nrl 360 episode after criticising the club & Robbo & told to back off.
Hooper apparently stood his ground & gave as good as he got.
Yes there is a bit going down at the moment at the Chooks behind the scenes
People are talking about our split team environment... there is a bit of that in Chookland with a couple of players with one may of played his last game and the other on very thin ice

A fairly rare St George junior too. Since we sold our soul in 1999 you could count on two hands the Saints juniors that have played Firsts. Dont blame the JV for this as we still have a flourishing SGJRL.. blame our inept pathways people.
Sorry but i have to disagree-we dont have a flourishing SGJRL-its appalling. From U13 up are combined comps with Cronulla-and most of the teams are from Cronulla. The number of teams left in the St George area seems to be falling every year. Ive been following JRL for a long time and ive never seen it this bad. St George are not active in the schools like Soccer and AFL are. The only growth area is in the Womens League. Sadly our juniors future has to be Wollongong cause they aint coming from the St George area anymore

As long as the SGJRL continues to provide a S G Ball Cup and Harold Matthews Cup rep side every season it is alive and well. The club has its choice from 1200 boys from 6-18 years from nine clubs. Naturally the girls game is growing as it is relatively new yet there are no more than four clubs with female comps and most are small by comparison to the boys.

Buzz on NRL 360 said Ryles will be announced in the next 24 hours. 4 Year deal. Can't see it happening but hope it does. The quicker the better.
Is Ryles the answer? Who knows? But we badly need potential signings to know who our coach is going forward and getting this sorted is big for us. Probably announced origin so it is usurped by other news.

hopefully he comes with connections amongst players. We need a culture transplant.
