This is ridiculous statement “arrogant” and sook. He goes not show all that with the jersey on
Is this because his manager and him getting the best deal for their client
You need to be up to speed with the market
His new contract from next year is market value for a 7
Why do you think he wants to keep 7 on his back
Because he is worth it not just to us to many other clubs
As a 9 lucky to get 3/4 of that
I would be looking after my best interests too not what the supporters or media want me to do
It us s business nowadays like it or not
I will also be the first to say his initial contract and what we got was not value for money
But who were the idiots to open the safe and give it out
He is not indebted to us nor did we resurrect his career
He had done that himself on field

The the media hounds threw every obstacle they could to bad mouth Shane Flanagan so as to put the seeds of doubt into the minds ( ? ) of the Dragon board , however they unanimously voted to sign him .

Let’s go after the next big cog in the Dragon team - Ben Hunt . He supposedly sat and had coffee with Gus ‘ mouth of the south ‘ Gould ? Perhaps he has who truly knows or perhaps his agent has enquired ? Earlier in the week the media reported that Hunt spoke to Flanagan to discover that he would be playing half should Flanno come on board - he walked away happy with the conversation .

The man has a big money contract with the Dragons and why would he jeopardise that to go elsewhere - to do so the Dragons would be asking for some dollars from his future club . In short his new club would be forking out a rather hefty amount for a 33 year old player that will play at half only .

Cannot see that occurring , not now at his age . For what it is worth however I do agree with what Mr. Tallis said about Ben and that is he signed a contract to play for St.George Illawarra , not a contract to play at half .

Got no issue with Benny looking around, he's not going around to much longer in the game.

Use the cash for a top tier front rower and a good second rower and find a winger with the off contract players we don't re sing.

I'd go hard for Frizz and identify a junior for long term captain.

As Benny said, "you never know" so, the are other "you never know" contracted players.

I hope he stays, just nail the best deal for the club.

It is a poor look for the Club Captain to not be speaking positively about the club and its future. Hunt had to have decided about the priority for a premiership before he signed his 2 year deal. Dragons were never going to win it with Hook and the current roster. The Board placed all our problems into the public arena in the way they managed the search for a new coach and Hunt has been dragged there as well with weekly post game questions and his decision to go public with “support my man Hook or else” type comments that were not enough to keep Hook in a job. Now he is being held to account for what he said. While he plays with determination and commitment every game, i think this is more to do with himself as a professional player than as passionate captain of the club.

If the Tits were to entertain the idea of BH joining them then obviously:
1. He'd want to play half back only
2. Would he demand the captaincy?
3. 900k is very serious coin for someone in their receding years

So, my recommendation:
Direct swap for Tino.

This would enable Hunt to secure the 3 points above.

We would obtain a very good forward and possible captain.

Probably won't happen if course but that's the only way I would release Hunt from his contract with us.

Tallis mmmmm Pretty sure Tallis signed to play for the Saints as well, What did Tallis sign, Toilet paper??

Anyone else wants to jump ship midstream can go too. Sick and tired of some of these Prima donnas crying wolf.
Plenty of forwards wanting to have a crack in ressies that can step up except for Burns!!!!
Kerr has been underwhelming but in saying that will probably grow another leg with saint Benny
